BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
Sunday 15 April 2012
KO 16:00 BST
Old Trafford

Hopefully Villa will see a backlash.

City will close it down to 2 points.
Pressure will be on us.

Fantastic team to play against after that shambles. A team with no balls, who generally put in half arsed shifts. No attacking threat, no midfield, no ambition. Other than Wolves at home this is the best game we could possibly play.

just a win please :)

Looking back, I have a loss against Liverpool too from last season. In fact, I had the home draw vs West Brom last season too... still 10 points from 15 games is my record, which should be enough to win the title (though we could lose it on goal difference then...):nervous:

You should let my awesome one take over.

Great. Another team who's going to play with 10 behind the ball and fight for their lives.

At least we only play once a week from now on, Scholes and Carrick nailed on the rest of the season.

De Gea

Rafael Evans Ferdinand Evra

Carrick

Cleverley Scholes

Valencia Rooney Nani

I'd honestly bring back Berbatov for this. Hernandez and Welbeck don't look like they can score and we can't rely on Rooney to save us every match. Nani, Valencia, Rooney and Berbatov and we should win this.

What I expect to see...
De Gea
Rafael Rio Evans Evra
Valencia Carrick Scholes Nani
Rooney Welbeck

What I'd like to see is what #07 has.
Either way, 2-0 win, bouncing back from the defeat hopefully. Nani and Rooney to score.

Team should be...

GK: De Gea

RB: Rafael
CB: Evans
CB: Ferdinand
LB: Evra

CM: Carrick
CM: Scholes
CM: Cleverley

RW: Valencia
CF: Rooney
LW: Nani

Subs: Amos, Jones, Smalling, Giggs, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck

It's at the point now where neither Hernandez or Welbeck deserve to be in the side

de Gea

Rafael
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Valencia
Carrick
Scholes
Nani

Rooney
Berbatov

SUBS: Amos, Jones, Smalling, Park, Cleverley, Welbeck, Hernandez.

Would love to see Berbatov given a run but can equally see 4-5-1 with Rooney up top alone with a Carrick-Scholes-Cleverley midfield three.

Nani is back, that is the difference..Hopefully the Wigan game can spark us to a decent performance. It's not about the style, it's about the 3points.

It's a long way to Sunday..

4-2. Villa will go 2 up in the first half. We will struggle till the 60th minute, get a penalty then score 4 goals.

Very close to the side I'd want to see start on Sunday:

De Gea
Rafael---Evans---Ferdinand---Evra
Carrick
Scholes---Cleverley
Nani---Rooney---Young

Neither Welbeck nor Chicharito deserve a start, and I don't think Berbatov exists anymore so add a midfielder to help avoid a display like Villa away last season (which ended 2-2). Tell Rooney to stay upfront and take the occasional shot at goal when the opportunity presents itself. To support Rooney I've gone for Nani and Young as they'll cut in and probably have more of a go at goal themselves than Valencia, whom I'd bring on with a striker if things are going tits-up. If Rafael is injured then play our back-up Rafael (if Fabio isn't injured himself).

I expect the actual team to be the same 4-4-1-1 formation we've seen all season, and the game to be nervy as feck :(

..............Scholes ............Scholes...........Scholes...............
.............. ............Scholes...........Scholes..............
......................................Scholes

Rafael Evans Ferdinand Evra
Valencia Carrick Scholes Young
Rooney Welbeck

Start with whats been working recently.

Probably how we prefer it really, when teams sit off us. Scholes and Carrick are tailor made for those kind of games. As opposed to the likes of Wigan who gave it a go, and closed us down high up the pitch.

I think you meant 5-2. 4-2 was against Everton a few years back, but no penalty in that game.

How about Macheda scores the winner in the 93rd minute?

That Macheda winner was pure magic, we went bonkers when he scored. Such a shame he's never lived up to the hype he got after it.

Anyway, I think we'll win.

Have to win at home at this stage of the season. No excuses.

5-2 was against spurs. Maybe Pogba get's the winner.

What are people thinking putting Berbatov in their team? He's hardly kicked a ball all fecking season.

And, Antisocial, no Valencia? Really? Jesus wept.
