Manchester United v Birmingham City

Interesting. Cristiano upfront. I suspect he will be given the freedom to roam all over the pitch. Tevez will stay up top.

Looking for a good game from Nani.

Our oldest player in the starting 11 is Rio, 29 years old.

from midfield
Park, 26 - Carrick, 26 - Anderson, 19 - Nani, 21
Tevez, 23 - Ronaldo, 22

Recipe for disaster. Tevez can't go upfront on his own, he always drops back, and using the shortest player in the world as your target-man doesn't work.

Fact is gents there comes a time when the players on the fringes of your first XI have to step up if you want to win the EPL - that team should be fine.

Although Saha's absence from the start is unusual and Rooney is still ill obviosuly.

Fergie trying to show we wont be needing another striker now that Park is back and have decent cover for the wings maybe?

Very interesting line up, we should be fine. Nice to see Park start and also exciting to see Ronaldo as a striker (weather he actually will play as a strike remains to be seen).

Fergie is careful with Saha again. At this point last season he got injured at Newcastle on january 1st and after that he only started one game I think, against Reading away in the FA-Cup.

Expect to see Nani and/or Park in the box quite a lot with that line up....

We don't have any strikers again

Tevez should never play as a lone frontman. Especially not when Saha is fit

We're making an easy game potentially very difficult for ourselves

I'm fecked off with our line up, I took the captaincy off of Ronaldo in my dream team because I figured he's be rested in this game

We will be playing the ball on the ground. There won't be many long balls and crosses into the box.

And there's Saha on the bench if we need changes.

Good that he put the players who didnt perform last game on the bench.

Ronaldo upfront could be interesting, hopefully it works

five 26 years old's are starting today. Evra, Vidic, Carrick, Park, O'Shea and also Hargreaves on the bench.

It was always going to be a starting lineup like this I think. If Rooney was fit Ronaldo would've been on the bench and then some guys on here would be complaining about that instead.

Good lineup. We'll have no problems whatsoever.

Full of youth and movement and a steady midfield that should control the flow of the game.

If it was an away game I'd be worried about the starting line-up but I reckon this team will do it - we may look a little toothless at times though.

Hopefully, we get an early goal.

Ronaldo upfront won't work. He needs the ball and he will get it a lot less upfront. That has always happened when he played there.

And Park and Nani on the wings is not very encouraging. I don't think we'll play well, it's not a balanced line-up. Hopefully Ronaldo will save us again.
