Barclays Premier League
Old Trafford
Saturday 21st February 2009
KO: 17.30 GMT

The games versus Blackburn circa 1993-1996 were great, lots of passion with the added incentive of beating twat-head Shearer. The 3-1 win in our inaugural Premiership the day after we'd won it was amazing, they beat us 2-0 in April the following season with Keane and Shearer kicking off big time, then there was a 4-2 thriller in 1994 with some quality goals from Hughes and Kanchelskis, happy memories.....

------------------ VDS -------------------
Rafael ----- Rio ------- Vida ------ Evra
Park --- Fletcher --- Carrick --- Ronaldo

Subs: Foster, Evans, Fabio, Scholes, Tevez, Nani, Welbeck

2 - 0

Rooney & Ronaldo

Normally I'd tell you to go feck yourself you pedantic cnut.... but you're right they are sweet looking badges. So I've used them :D
Why pedantic, why cnut? Only because I'm a foreigner? :D

I'm not pedantic, I'm not a cnut, but I think those logos are very good. Simple :)

Team should be...

GK: VDS

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Ronaldo
CM: Carrick
CM: Scholes
LM: Park

CF: Tevez
CF: Berbatov

Subs: Foster, Evans, Fletcher, Nani, Giggs, Rooney, Welbeck

Given his goal record against them Tevez has to start for me and well Berbatov is in my dream team so I need him to play :D

3-0 Tevez x2 and Berbatov with the goals

To be honest, these days I really don't worry about what team Fergie will put out. Everyone's capable - it's not like the days when I'd panic everytime I saw Djemba-Djemba or Kleberson's name on the teamsheet.

We'll turn them over. Gone are the days when Blackburn would always turn up and give you a tough game.

3-0.

I'll be seated just behind the goal at East Stand for this one, looking forward to it...this will be my team:

---------Vds-----------
O'shea-Rio-Vidic-Evra--
----Carrick---Giggs----
Ronaldo------------Nani
----Rooney--Berbatov--

I'm expecting that some players will be rested from the start though. Perhaps Nani and Park on the wings, and Ronaldo to come on later. Also have a feeling Carrick will be rested for the Inter clash, so Fletcher in for him if that's the case.

I'd take any sort of victory, so I'll say 1-0 Ronaldo, and United to grab an eight point lead, at least until Sunday:)

--Rafael--------Rio----------Vidic-------Evra-----

--Nani---------Fletcher---Carrick-------Ronaldo---

-----------------Berbatov----Tevez---------------

Subs: Kuzczak, Sheasy, Evans, Rooney, Wellbeck, Scholes, Giggs
Prediction:2-0 victory with goals from Tevez, Vidic. Scholesey & Giggsy to be rested since their experinence will be required for Inter Milan away.Rooney to get some match time in the 2nd half

I can't see Blackburn getting anything from this game. Hopefully we'll put them away and early. My heart can't take anymore last minute 1-0 wins ala Vidic v Boro.

Absolutely vital that we win this game and stretch the lead out to 8 points before our CL and Carling Cup period.

VDS

Rafael - Evans - Rio - Evra

Ronaldo - Carrick - Scholes/Giggs - Nani

Rooney - Berba

I think we should put Evans at CB in preperation for Inter, as he hasn't played in a while because of injury. Throwing him straight back in to action at the San Siro would be silly.

That's it !

Seems like a life-time since then

Arsenal (1) 2 Manchester United (0) 1

Samir Nasri scored twice as injury-hit Arsenal gave their Premier League title hopes a much needed lift with victory over rivals Manchester United.

Arsenal, who were outmuscled against Stoke in their shock 2-1 defeat last weekend, came out fighting in their lunchtime kick-off against the champions.

The hosts took the lead midway through a lively first half when Nasri's effort flew in off Gary Neville.

Wayne Rooney wasted United's best chance when he fired over when well placed while Dimitar Berbatov had a strike ruled out for offside.

Nasri doubled Arsenal's lead three minutes after the restart to give Arsene Wenger's side some breathing space.

Cesc Fabregas wriggled around Neville and spotted Nasri unmarked in the penalty area, with the France youngster given enough space to bide his time and fire past Edwin Van der Sar.

Cristiano Ronaldo was presented with a chance to pull a goal back immediately but drilled his first-time volley the wrong side of the post.

United were able to pull a goal back late on through a brilliant volley from Brazilian full-back Rafael Da Silva but Arsenal held on for the three points which saw them move back into third place.

The way Arsenal celebrated still irks me to this day, for feck sake it was only one match & where the feck are they now - 15 points behind thats where. feckin immature twats

Because in their hearts they knew they had just managed a rare victory over the world, european and premiership champs and a vastly superior team - let them have their day in the sun!!:devil:

I will be there! :) My first game at Old Trafford, can´t wait!! Is there any good pubs to visit before or after the game?

--------------- Van der Sar ------------
Rafael ----- Vidic ----- Evans ----- Evra
-------- Fletcher ------- Giggs ---------
Ronaldo -------------------------- Nani
-------------------- Rooney -----------
------------- Berbatov ----------------

Subs: Kuszczak; Neville, Ferdinand; Carrick, Scholes, Tosic; Tévez.

Van der Sar has to be given the chance to keep the clean sheet record going. Neville, Brown and O'Shea all supposedly have slight injuries so I kind of doubt seeing any of them start, which leaves Rafael with another oppertunity before the Inter game (which I highly doubt he'll feature in). Ferdinand could be rested to give Evans a bit more match fitness before he plays against Inter as Vidic is suspended so will get a rest mid-week anyway. Evra and Ronaldo just play. Fletcher and Giggs give the midfield some energy in the centre, I think Carrick and Scholes should get a rest and play against Inter. Park should be rested, and Nani has earned a game, so make it this one. Rooney is back and seeminly on form, so why not let him start this one but take him off in the latter stages for Tévez. I'd like to see Berbatov be brought off for someone late on as well, possibly switch Nani to the right, let Tosic have a run out and stick Ronaldo up top for a bit.

That is of course if things go our way, I expect a 2-0 victory.

Form:

United - WWWWWW 18 points

Blackburn - DDWDDL 7 points

Also, Blackburn haven't scored an away league goal since November

Really hate that scouse driven shite that the chap is gay,had an United fan try and argue with me recently that he was,his scouse mate told him.Scousers wouldnt know the truth if it hit them on the head

May I suggest Bishop Blaize or The Trafford Pub, both quite close to the ground.

Was a bit late getting to OT last night ,they were both a nightmare.Gave up and went to fanzone.I am not joking that has to be the worst run spot I have ever been in but it could be good if there was a bit of thought put into it

What channel is this on ? I thought that was the new criteria of doing the match day starter post ?
