Great half overall, gutted i missed the first 15 minutes. Playing some really good stuff.
I can't help wondering whether it might be an idea to put Welbeck/Macheda on for Owen for the 2nd half. Owen's making some nice runs, but we don't wanna risk him picking up a knock for the Liverpool game...
I think Welbeck is a better player than Macheda overall, but playing as the front man and feeding off Berbatov and Giggs I think Macheda would REALLY thrive!
We're much more exciting to watch this season than last season.
How much is that to do with losing Ronaldo?
We seem to be trying harder and playing as a team, knowing results aren't a formality. That might be a lazy assumption, but I certaintly have a different vibe about us this year...certaintly in the attacking sense.

Decent first half from us, did drop off aroundhalf way that led to Bolton having a few good chances - esp Davies header.
Giggs is class, but take him off now, his job is done.
Valencia has done well too, his best game for us so far.

we really look shaky in the defence without Vidic...Rio needs to get his confidence back.
I could be wrong but it seems like we are playing an orthodox 4-4-2 today.

Yeah, Rio isn't at his best but I think Evans is playing very well. He's great cover for rio and vidic, a great prospect
Been a solid performance so far; midfield is doing well, but we're a bit suspect when Bolton are attacking from wide positions.
Refreshing sight to see Gary winding back the clock and bombing up and down that right flank.

Bolton is making it easy for us, they just let us play. Weird.
Berbatov is starting to look the part
I wonder if I'm watching a different game, Ferdinand has made two or three good interceptions. And Bolton have only had two decent chances, neither you can level at Ferdinand.
The first looks to be bad play by Neville who should have been looking to pick up Davies as (an offside) Taylor ran in front of Ferdinand who had to monitor him, leaving Davies free behind.
The second was the chest down by Davies to Taylor (?), where he just outmuscled Evans to lay it off, just one of those moments where Davies dominates and creates something, it's something he can do against any team, any defender.

Owens close control/first touch is very good. Really impressed me so far this season.
Also cannot understand at why Macheda and Welbeck are picked ahead of Tosic.

As things stand Liverpool are down to 8th place, just behind Sunderland and ahead of Burnley. OMG!
Berbatov really starts to look like a 30m player on a regular basis. Some quality football again, our defence needs to cut out concentration lapses though. Very pleased with the result so far!
