Based on Fergie's updates today:

Kuszczak

Rafael...................Brown..............O'Shea............Fabio

Bebe............Carrick.............Gibson..............Obertan

...........................................Anderson

.........................Hernandez

Subs: Lindegaard, Brown, Fletcher, Giggs, Berbatov, King, Morrison, (or Hargo?)

"Congratulations to our boy Ryan Tunnicliffe for making the 20 man squad for Mufc in their FA Cup game v Crawley Town tomorrow"

Exciting. RT @nickcoppack: Additional PL squad numbers registered: King (41), Pogba (42), Tunnicliffe (46) and Norwood (47). #mufc

It's a sign! Pogba wearing 42. He's the answer to our midfield issues.

Has he been playing as a striker?

he usually plays as the right sided forward in a front 3.

I expect him to play in the same role tomorrow.

Follwoing the managers press conferance and the news that some of the kifds have received squad numbers. im going for -

Lindergaard

Rafael
Brown
Oshea
Fabio

Carrick
Anderson
Gibson

Bebe
Hernandez
Obertan

bench - Kuszczak, Gill, king, norwood, brady, and 2 from morrison/pogba/tunnicliffe

Crawley 1-0 is 91/1, it's worth a quid what with our reasonably shit record with sides of this calibre.

You mean shit sides that we've beaten after drawing. To my knowledge we haven't lost to a shit side.

Leeds was a derby game and form goes out the window

That's good news, then. You officially can't lose derby games. Brilliant.

Interesting, I thought King might have been in over Bebe but it will be good to see if he has progressed. I'm also surprised Carrick will be playing, I figured he would be saved for the CL game on Wednesday.

Norwood doesn't deserve a squad number! Especially if he hasn't got rid of his dodgy barnet.

Norwood beautifully cultured, actually think he's the kind of player who could look better with better players around him. A bit like Carrick.

It might just be pre-match pessimism that sometimes creeps in but I'm concerned about this one.

Whoever Fergie selects will probably be a better player than his Crawley counterpart and so, man-for-man, we should be better but whenever Fergie makes like 7-8 changes to the side, it often backfires as the team looks exactly like it is - a collection of eleven players who have probably never played a competitive match together.

Crawley, on the other hand, will be a solid, cohesive unit who will know exactly how to play together and if they don't freeze in the OT occasion, they could go the other way and add 10% to their game.

I can't bring myself to believe that we will lose this game but I think visions of a 5 or 6-0 drubbing are way off the mark and I can see Fergie going for Plan B before Crawley's manager.

We never do these sides in hence why I am predicting a close game, 2 goals in it at most and I think a draw is very possible.

Having said that though I think Hernandez will tear the apart if he plays

Daily Mail in one of their articles reckon Sean McGinty could be involved....now that would be a surprise.

I don't think McGinty is in the squad. From the guardian website it seems Pogba, Morrison, King and Tunnicliffe are all in the squad for tomorrow.

I can see a couple of them getting some minutes.

Yeah, I can see us struggling too. I'd almost rather he field an entire reserve team than mix and match a load of players who haven't played together before.

I think Fergie will pick quite a strong side and certainly pick berbatov, hernandez, carrick, scholes as they all haven't played a great deal recently.

Last thing Fergie would want is a replay. We'll play a strong enough team I think.

Should be fun on the motorway today. Will be full of Crawley supporters all the way. Looking foreword to a bit of banter right from the start. I live about 5 mins from Crawley so bring it on!!!

He's not going to risk these guys before Marseille!

Subs: Kucszak, O'Shea, Pogba, Morrison, Tunnicliffe, Norwood, King,

SAF normally has experienced back-up on the bench just in case the game's not going to plan.

I think SAF should play a reasonably strong team for 2 reasons.
1. We dont want a replay and this is a potential banana skin.
2. Crawley have made it to the 5th round and are really playing their European Cup final. It would be gracious of SAF to put out a decent team in recognition of this. Win, lose or draw, Crawley players can say they played against a strong United side.

CRAWLEY boss Steve Evans took his FA Cup minnows on a VIP tour of Old Trafford and said: Thanks my Sun!

The Sun-sponsored Blue Square Premier club face Manchester United tomorrow.

And Evans, whose side will wear The Sun logo on their shirts for the dream tie, said: "You don't realise the power of Manchester United and The Sun newspaper until you have lived my life for the last few weeks.

"My phone has not stopped ringing since the draw and people in the street have been stopping me to wish us luck.

"That's all because we've been splashed across The Sun for the last few weeks. It's a real boost to take on the world's biggest club with the backing of Britain's biggest newspaper."

Evans and his men had a cheeky look around United's home and the Scot joked: "My mates will think I jumped over the wall to get us in here!

"But I wanted my boys to see the size and the sheer aura of the place so they don't get a shock tomorrow."

Now I know how powerful Man Utd and The Sun are! | The Sun |Sport|Football

:wenger:

So if they beat us The Scum will claim it's them that won it. 4-0

I live 10 minutes away from Crawley. Thus ends my contribution to this thread.

FA Cup
Saturday 19th February 2011
Kick Off: 17:15 GMT

TV: ITV, ITV HD + Setanta Sports

How did I not notice their crest. Apologies if this is a hitler sunk the titanic using the invention of the wheel moment, but the lazy bastards could have at least not used our crest as a template.

Hope we blitz them.

Shame, I'd understand McGinty being in the squad with two centre backs out and some rested. United don't really have any fullback backup outside of Evra and perhaps Fletcher.
