Manchester United v Crawley Town

If I hear another commentator claim that the only way to tell the Da Silva twins apart is that one of them wears a ring, I think I'm going to stick a fork in my eye.

Gibson's had a really good half.

Obertan's looked alright in fits and starts. Bebe's still clearly not ready for the first team.

Not alot else to say. We are comfortable and in total control of the game and don't need to be at our best to get a result.

The ball from Gibson was very good, but for me its a pass any decent midfielder should be making, he had so much space and time to play the ball from and into

Why can't you just say it was a good pass? The weight and direction were fantastic and perfect for Fabio to run onto and shoot first time, it's nowhere near as easy as you are trying to make out even if it is only against Crawley Town. Maybe you'd rather he played just as badly as Carrick and Anderson just so you could have a moan at him.

Obertan is showing no progress. He has pace and obvious talent but no end product. Very frustrating. He should be ripping non league Crawley a new arse-hole. And he needs to bulk as well.

Also does Bebe ever look up before putting in a cross?

Don't know why gibson gets so much stick on here, obertan whenever he has played has always played just as bad, if not worse than gibson. Its just because he's foreign he escapes being the scapegoat.I can only remember Obertan having one good game for us when he scored that screamer, apart from that he's been quite useless. He's going to have to step it up if he wants to make an imprint on our team and be in contention to be starting matches. Luckily he has age on his side

so he's the "escapegoat" then?

Wes looks like he's playing against toddlers - OG in the 2nd half then

Very unimpressed with the lack of progress Obertan has made.

He grew in confidence during the game. He needs a run of games just like everyone else but maybe more so him. Crawley aren't mugs and it would help if we dominated the midfield but our attacks are so fragmented. We have to remember how few games hes played in the first team....

There was a good play to free fabio for one run. There was early on where he played a perfect ball across the 6 yard line and he had a decent effort on goal and he demonstated he can beat his man for pace...we know the final balls not there but he's young, and he's barely played. What kind of progress are people expecting? He's a dynamic player and we just have to understand that

So as it stands we're going to burn Obertan and Bebe at the stake after the game right..?

Whats happened to gibbo

Dunno if anyone else has pointed this out, but he's getting ages on the ball. Starting to make me think he should move to Italy, he might be very successful there.

He had one earlier in the season. There was a 12-13 game patch where he started more than half and came on as a sub in the others in October/November.

Yep. I mean its not like we are playing Barcelona here. Gibson should really be doing well in a game like today. No surprise.

Anderson is looking very confident and strong on the ball, shielding it well and playing good passes.

Don't understand Rooney coming on to be honest. Why risk him getting hurt in a game like this?

Oh. feck sake.

2 superb through balls from Gibson. Not keen on his decisions to shoot though.

Bebe and Obertan have a long way to go. Obertan looks absolutely lost out there.

Bebe's blatantly not a winger and Obertan seems to have zero confidence/balls every time he plays.

I don't understand why we haven't just stuck Bebe up top with Hernandez and shoved someone else out on the wing to do the same thing Bebe's been doing anyway.

I really hate this formation. Nobody outside of our defence has a clue what they're supposed to be doing, apart from Hernandez who hasn't got a chance up against three man markers all the time anyway.

I thought so too, and is rewarded by being hooked off.

Yeah it's a shame really, I was just about to edit my post and say I'm looking forward to his second half, but then I saw he's been taken off.,,

He wants him to continue scoring. Thats why he is coming on, although I would prefer to see one of the young lads

Definitely would have gone with Pogba here...Bit of a pointless risk for Rooney and we don't look troubled by Crawley, would have been nice to see as much as possible from the young ones.
