Can't wait for it, hopefully we can finish what we started in Milan. I can't believe we came away from that match without a goal given how much we bossed them. Now we must put those chances away, we can't afford to miss them the way we did over there. After the first match, I'm confident we can do it, COME ON UNITED!!! :devil::devil:
 
Phhhh... the big game. I desperately want us to kick out Inter (and Mourinho), and I'd be absolutely gutted to go out after our great performance at the San Siro the other week. No idea who will play in midfield, so many options and everyone is performing well at the moment. I was wondering why Nani didn't play yesterday, in fact he didn't even make the bench.. is he injured? May he start on Wednesday? I wouldn't think so, he performed inconsistently this season, but proved against Barcelona last year he can handle the pressure of a big game fairly well. My guess would be

I wouldn't be surprised to see Fletcher start ahead of Park though, playing three in the middle and Ronaldo, Rooney and Berbatov upfront.

A case can obviously be made for Fletcher, Giggs and Berbatov starting but I think we need to have one eye on Liverpool as well and all 3 of them could have a big part to play in that game

I don't think we should risk Rio. We need him for the Liverpool game and Evans can contain Inter fine (as displayed in the away leg).

That'd be my selection. But I have a hunch he'll go for Berbatov rather than Tevez (which would be a mistake considering how well Rooney/Tevez played together at the weekend). One thing is for certain, if we pressure them high up the pitch and get in the faces of their defenders they'll make mistakes. They looked very uneasy in the 1st leg.

I'm fairly sure you'll be wrong about that one.

Berbs will definitely start hence his exclusion from the Fulham game which means it comes down to either Rooney or Tevez and there's only 1 winner there.

Who Sir Alex starts and who people on here would opt for are quite different things, i think many believe that Berba will be in the XI with Rooney although a good few would themselves rather it were Tevez with the context of the game in mind.

I'd be happy with that team or fletcher for o'shea mabey i think would work fine if hes injured.
Tension is starting to build now. part of me thinks we could see anothe roma, i hope we score earlyish which should set the tone for a good night for us.

Would love to see Tevez chasing Inter players all over the pitch and biting a few ankles, but Berbatov will definitely start, I don't think there's any doubt about that. Reckon he will go 4-4-2 with Park & Ronaldo wide. For me the bige question is whether Giggs or Scholes partners Carrick in centre mid. I think Scholes may just edge it. The rest of the team picks itself

The Inter match will all about nerves and who can create chances to score goals. This means either Giggs or Scholes partnering Carrick and I'd be very surprised if Park didn't play. He causes European teams all sorts of problems with his constant pestering and industry. In fact, he could be seen as the revenge of United against all the diving that Italian sides have tried to pull against them over the years. Except that Park doesn't dive, he just goes down a little more easily than most. And yes, Berbatov should play on Wednesday with Rooney. Hopefully, United will be up after 70 min., where Rooney can be subbed off for Tevez and rested for the Scousers on Saturday.

Exactly, if it was up to some on the caf Nani and Fabio would be on the left.
 
Expect a real cracker after the first leg. Inter can't afford to be too cautious, United wont be. So a goal for inter would send united into all out attack, and otherwise both teams will be on the edge for 90 minutes. should be great. I'd go:

The lad got some good goals last game and his movement can create Inter much trouble than Berbs and that what we need to start the game and put pressure from the start.

Fergie should know more that after that performance the lad is the best option to partner Rooney from the start. I like Berbs but i think this time Fergie should start with Tevez and put Berbs later on.
 
I'm suprised how many people are leaving Giggs out of their predicted starting line-ups.
 
i do want to see tevez but if he does not perform a lot of people will start saying berba should of started and tevez vice versa. Hard to keep everyone happy.

One way or another which ever two strikers start, i hope the other one starts on saturday as it is 2 big games and everyone deserves thier chances!

Maybe we will all be wrong and Fergie will shock us like the 1st leg

I agree with you. I expected Giggs to be a certain to start with the form he's been in and being rested for Fulham he has to start. I expect no matter what formation we opt for Giggs will start.
 
How do you fit in Giggs in the starting XI withouth placing him on the flank. You can't drop either Carrick or Scholes but I feel Giggs should start.
