Manchester United v Manchester City

i fear for sunday, i have a really bad feeling, he will play rooney on his own again...

The stupid thing is that there is far more of a reason to play 4-5-1 against Arsenal than there is at home to City.

Still, 4-5-1 at Arsenal would be very bad. We can't match them in a 4-5-1 but can dominate with a 4-4-2.

Fergie needs to grow some balls.. what the feck was that? Wasted 45 minutes going through the motion.

we have no pace. They lool waay faster especially on the counter.

Giggs is better as a sub.

Owen or Berbatov please.

God I love Van Der Sar.

Were fecking shit scared of em and it shows.....the first game was a classic because city went for it.............if we go out we go out but for feck sake lets go down fighting.......come on fergie lets get at em

Our lot were outsung by the City fans for large portions of that first half.

I guess old age can do that to you, or there is some reason that is not apparent to us.

You can understand it in a way. If you start with an attacking lineup only to find out the opposition is killing you, what do you do? Replace a striker with a midfielder, when you already need to score? If you don't take too many risks and don't score you can still take it up a notch or two.

But I remember days when all of it didn't matter. We'd just for it.

I don't call 4-4-2 domination, but we take more risks and we usually get the right results with it. 4-5-1 is a more cautious play.

I like the midfield. If any changes are needed, Giggs should be the one off. Valencia can come in. Or to change the formation, Scholes off, Berba or Owen in.

Scholes has been brilliant. IMO it is Fletcher that needs to be brought off. Perhaps even Carrick/Fletcher - Bring on Berbatov and Valencia pushing Giggs inside and Nani left.

Once again lack of threat on set pieces is biting us - should have had least a couple threats on goal from the corners and free kicks.

Berbatov and Valencia on please. Let's play a proper 4-4-2 and twat these bastards, no more of this 4-5-1 shite. Can't believe we didn't trouble them even once!

Well i think weve just wasted 45 mins there, again created very little by way of chances again Rooney looking isolated and feeding from scraps, happens everytime we play this system and yet we persist with it......Scholes off Berbatov on 4-4-2 please....

I think Scholes has been good and it should probably be Giggs who makes way, but then we would push Fletcher to the right and Nani on the left so maybe Scholes will make way

What the feck are we hoofing it for with Rooney up there on his own? Carrick is the worst offender but distribution from defence has been shit.

Our best, and only decent attack was when we PLAYED IT ALONG THE feckING GROUND.

ffs frustratingly predictable.

I really don't think Fergie rates either Berba or Owen. I just cannot for the life of me think of any other explanation for playing Rooney up top alone in a home match in which we have to score goals or get knocked out. I could understand it if we were 3 or 4 goals up from the first leg, but when we're losing? Strange.

Came in from work, fell asleep and have just missed the entire first half which is fecking crazy. Have I missed anything?

451, SAF still not learning. Fletch - effort! Scholes, long passing. Rooney. That's all that has happened, go back to sleep until the 60th minute and then turn the tv on when some subs are made.

What does Rooney have to do to get respect from Fergie, no wonder he likes Capello more.

Oh, that part I understand, but I have gradually seen SAF becoming overly cautious and taking less risks as he ages.
Now it seems the players wait till the last 8 mins or so and then start to blitz the opposition when we need a results
