Manchester United v Manchester City

The sheer fact we are in a position where a win against City will have the shine taken off it by the fact Liverpool will be thanking us afterwards makes me feel physically sick.

Well Moyes is stumped as to why our home form is so poor.

My old boss would have fecking hated David Moyes.

I'm so with this. I just can't bear the thought of Liverpool winning this title and with the games they have...at Anfield mostly, it's becoming more and more real.. So yeah...I'm really torn here

Surely he must know possession counts for little if there's no concrete game plan as to getting the ball in the net, other than a flurry of crosses of course.

Well, I think teams set up differently and he hasn't implemented the right tactics / training drills to break them down. They don't try to have loads of the ball so that isn't a mystery, we have scored more goals away than every team but Liverpool, at home 4 teams have fewer goals. At Everton he didn't have teams consistently coming to his home ground willing to get a 0-0 and trying to just scrape a win.

That said, surely if that was the problem Ferguson would tell him how he dealt with those teams. Or maybe Ferguson wants him to figure it out by himself, who knows.

Yeah, like I thought. Not many confident of a result, totally understandable too I reckon.

Lets just hope that its a good team out there atleast.

Just when he starts sounding like a Man Utd manager...

...one step forward, two steps back

City scare me a lot less without Aguero, I'd be confident if Moyes plays an attacking team

Lineups time

This bit might just be the 5 most exciting minutes we have tonight :p

#mufc starting XI vs @MCFC: De Gea; Rafael, Ferdinand, Jones, Evra; Carrick, Cleverley, Fellaini; Mata, Welbeck, Rooney

#mufc subs: Lindegaard, Büttner, Fletcher, Kagawa, Young, Valencia, Hernandez

Three in the midfield, thanks be to Jesus. That's the team I would've gone for, happy with that.

CONFIRMED MUFC XI:

de Gea

Rafael
Ferdinand
Jones
Evra

Carrick
Cleverley
Fellaini

Welbeck
Mata

Rooney

SUBS: Lindegaard, Büttner, Fletcher, Kagawa, Young, Valencia, Hernandez

Big game for Cleverley. He'll have to have his best game probably since City (A) in 2012/13.

A shame there's no Kagawa after saturday, but 3 in midfield is the right choice today and Welbeck is made for these kind of games.

City: TEAM NEWS: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany (C), Demichelis, Clichy, Yaya Toure, Fernandinho, Nasri, Silva, Navas, Dzeko #MCFC
