Anyone else feel that Carrick could do with a rest this game?

I'd play Fletch alongside Scholes for this game and give Carrick a few days off before our Champions League game.

Carrick is one of our best players atm so i see no reason to rest him
 
Carrick is 25, he can play every 3 days, I expect him to be a robot.

Might be tough this, it's a huge game for smalltime Boro.

We always seem to have problems with them at home:

United 1 - 0 Boro... FA Cup (Penalty wins it)
United 0 - 0 Boro...Last season (Penalty could have won it)
United 1 - 1 Boro...premiership - we needed a late goal from Smithy
United 2 - 3 Boro - The smallest man on the plannet scored 2 headed goals
United 1 -0 Boro - Penalty won it
United 0 - 1 Boro - 2002, All but ended our title chances


They've had the better of us at OT, no doubt about it. It's time they took a right twatting.

Any win would be great obviously but if we could get 2-0 up say and have an opportunity to rest a couple of players that would be very nice.....

They haven't lost that many if I'm right though, mainly mediocre draws and the occasional win to keep them clear of trouble

I hope we destroy them - Boro are a shit team managed by an estate agent whose best player is an injury prone defender of dubious moral character and who can't even sell out their ground if they paid people to come watch them
