Manchester United v Stoke City

Pretty good overall. Stoke have barely posed a threat but that worries me a little. We really slacked off towards the end there when we should have tried to kill the game. I hope we step it up in the second half and make sure we get all 3 points.

We're in total control so far.

We need to play like this away, that was some fantastic football. We left ourselves open a few times but on the whole - brilliant.

And that goal! I love him!

MY one has russian girls that want ME! (and according to the ad, are very attracted to western men).

Can you compete?

(sorry for OT)

I wonder if there are Russian girls on make-up websites who get pictures of Manchester United fans watching streams.

Typical Giggs performance in that he's in the side to play killer balls, not the percentage passes. I think he's looked fine and our entire frontline has been menacing. It's been thoroughly easy by virtue of the fact that Stoke are crap.

The front 4 have looked good...when they've got on the ball. It's a pity the service from Fletcher and Gibson has not been too brilliant. With Anderson and Carrick playing along with this front four we'd thrash them.

natural successor to Rio.

full of confidence. strong in the challenge.

He's getting games where we have naff all to do defensively. Stoke are a really poor outfit when they play a side that matches them physically.

Smalling looks great on the ball but he's been shown to be suspect when players make intelligent runs the other side of him. Long way to go before we start calling him the next Rio, because he needs to bring the defensive side of his game up a number of levels. Signals are all good though, I agree.

Well the trouble is home teams don't play that crap at home like Stoke today.

:lol: 'good' Fletcher. Hernandez had to drop back into midfield to show Gibson and Fletcher how to play a penetrating pass.

You really should stop talking about certain players. You let yourself down constantly. I would suggest never mentioning Fletcher, Park and Tevez again.

Total control. Stoke are non-existent so far. Now kill the game off early and don't let them back in it.

Smalling plays like someone with 300 games under his belt, just very, very composed though he hasn't been tested properly so far.

Whatever has happened to Fletcher this season? He looks a shadow of the player that he's been over the last few years.

Berbatov guarantees great football. I would like to see more runs from midfield from Fletcher/Gibson. I have sympathy for whoever is facing Rafael - Etherington, he is spectacular.

Anyone else not nervy at all? If we carry on the same way we did, I can't see us losing this for one second.

Very confident at the moment, touch wood.

He's lost the ball a lot of times today but he's been slightly better than his other performances of this season.

The American half time voice over is a total knob head.

Smalling show good signs. Looking to be a cracking player, all he needs is time under his belt. Very good buy.

Fletcher and Gibson have OK, but the passing by Nani and Giggs has been quite poor.
Smalling has done very well.

Still a very risky scoreline. I'd bring on Anderson for either of the two wingers if they don't improve.

2nd goal before the 60th minute.........

Fabio -> Evra
Obertan -> Giggs
Owen -> Berbatov

I have a better idea:

Fletcher->Carrick
Gibson->Ando
Giggs->Obertan(save him for the dippers)

haha, Carson with yet another blunder. :lol:

My impression so far is that all the creativity, which I was worried about before the game came from Giggs, Berba and Nani, apparently. In fact, I love when Nani plays for the team and NOT showing off.

I'm nervy as hell till we get our 2nd goal. Wasted far too many leads this season for me not to get nervy at 1-0.

You'd think we'd play our full strength midfield now Nanis back so they can familarise themselves with each other again...-Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Giggs...But heaven forbid we actually get any consistency in midfield...

Evras been superb being our left wing yet again....Nanis been good, Giggs has been far too wasteful, you'd think having played for 20 odd years for the club he'd know which colour shirts to pass to by now....
