Manchester United v Sunderland AFC

This commentator is full of shit. Implying that Fergie has intimidated the ref into the 4 minutes.

The commentator said earlier that Welbeck didn't celebrate much - so it must be an own goal.

Yeah, nothing to do with him playing for Sunderland for a season?

He's big,
He's bad,
He's Wesley Brown,
The hardest man in all the town,
With orange hair beware,
Come and have a go if you dare...

Who's this twat on Setenta? Apparently SAF pioneered getting as much stoppage time as possible, prick.

No idea. I've only been tuned in for the last 10 minutes or so, but he's come off as an absolute tool so far.

Well, thank you Wesley!

It's been dire again but he saved our asses. Hopefully there will be some football from United in the second half, for a change.

Time to put Sunderland to the sword. Bring the One on in the second half

That Brown OG covered up what was a pretty forgettable half from us. You can't really say we even had an attacking spell out there. There's been very little urgency from us and the tempo has been so slow.

We must improve. Play some football to get people on the edge of their seats at least.

Lads, we can't play champagne football every single week. Try supporting Carlisle for a few years and then go back to United, you spoilt bunch of knobbers.

The move that lead to the corner was honestly the only half decent move from us all match. Rooney is wasted in central midfield

Well, that was another horrible half. The football we played at the start of the season looks lightyears away from the shite I'm watching now.

Up your game lads !

Not really, in fact there's nothing ironic about it at all.

Irony of fate (cosmic irony)

The expression “irony of fate” stems from the notion that the gods (or the Fates) are amusing themselves by toying with the minds of mortals with deliberate ironic intent. Closely connected with situational irony, it arises from sharp contrasts between reality and human ideals, or between human intentions and actual results. The resulting situation is poignantly contrary to what was expected or intended.

The words ironic, irony, and ironically are sometimes used of events and circumstances that might better be described as simply "coincidental" or "improbable".[14]

Shouldve been more than 4 after the Wickham and Richardson injuries.
Did the commentator really say that?

and we scored in the first minute of the 4 so dont see how its important

What do you expect when we're playing a winger and striker in midfield. Any team would've struggled having said that our play has been painfully slow.

Definitely an OG. We should be better in the 2nd half with the lead to play with.

Don't know what people expect, we've had the much superior possesion, playing against a team that is being very defencevise hoping to catch us on the break.

Safety first approach taken by both teams has led to a stalemate. I recognise that the team must have been stung by the City result but is really necessary to be this conservative? Jones' overlap on 45 minutes was the first time either of our full backs had given that option when we were attacking. Sure we were too gung ho against City with 10 men but we could do with being a bit more attacking in a game like this.

Hopefully it'll open up a bit. Evra seems to be our only player who wants to play at a high tempo.
