Manchester United v Sunderland

Berbatov should have scored much more goals so far. Hope he starts scoring on a regular basis, otherwise, Tevez will take his place pretty soon

He does bring out the best in Rooney though. Feel sorry for Tevez, but i still reckon Roo-Berba is still our best combo. Thats just the way it is

someone please tell the official site a thing or two about whom we are playing..

Then how come we've only seen the best of Rooney in like 4 games this season? It was there, but then it fizzled out.

Rob Smyth doing the Minute by minute on the guardian website, usually does a good job. Already made me laugh today:

"Patrice Evra plays his last domestic game before starting a 484-game ban for not wearing a T-shirt in support of a convicted attempted murderer."

That's a myth. Last season, they played brilliantly together. And based on our football last season, I think Tevez-Rooney did better than Berbatov-Rooney so far. That's the way it is i'm afraid.

I want to see the next minblowing berba skill and a goal for him is needed aswell.

My prediction 4-0 ronaldo 2, berbatov 2.

Brilliant:lol:

Personally think the team is spot on, its the one that played very well against City and continuity is a good thing.

Might be harsh for Tevez, but it should put pressure on Rooney and Berbatov and thats a good thing. Its open to Rooney and Berbs to show they deserve their starting places. Which at the moment I think they do.

As for Tevez, today was a no-brainer. Reward the best and most complete performance we've seen from one of our strikers this season and his 4 goals and 1 assist by allowing him to start the next game. Whether he starts next to Rooney or Berbatov, thats another thing. But to me, his omission from the first 11 says clearly we arent planning to keep him long term. Shame.

I hope we see more of the great 1 touch football we saw in midweek. i know its a different team but still.

Thats wrong, Berbs and Rooney scored a fair amount of goals together when Rooney went on his scoring run and played some fantastic football.

Thats the way it is I'm afraid.

Berbatov only has 2 PL goals.

Dissagree with last opinion tbh. im even more convinced after wednesday that tevez is a united type player through and through.

We won the double.

No shit.

The myth is that Rooney and Tevez are a great partnership. They're both great players and did brilliantly for us last season, but they're not Yorke-Cole reincarnated. Look at it objectively and it's fairly obvious - that's why Ferguson bought another striker.

If the effectiveness of the Berbatov-Rooney partnership is a myth, then so was Tevez-Rooney last season, is my point.

Fergie bought a striker because we only had 2. Every top team needs atleast 3 top strikers, thats why he bought one not why Tevez wasnt good enough

:lol::confused:

You do know that we won the Double and both scored around 20 goals and we played beatiful football? Remember the Boro game?

Oh shit, the Boro game, forgot about that...

Yeah I remember last season. We had the best defence and Cristiano Ronaldo. But Tevez and Rooney - as a partnership - were not crucial. Their individual contributions were far more important.

get a grip, stop moaning about tevez not starting, he get his fair shares of games.

Why would he stay when 4 goals and 1 assist and the best performance he could possibly have put in, isnt enough to dislodge one of two strikers who have hardly been on fire in recent weeks?

It beggars belief that people expect him to have so little ambition.

So our strikeforce wasn't 'crucial' in us winning the Double?

Errrrm, ok then. If you say so.

So why didn't he sign a player as cover, instead of a Tevez replacement?

Face it, Fergie sees more in the Berbatov-Rooney partnership than in Rooney-Tevez. In fact, Tevez didn't even start many of the biggest matches last season.

Berbatov only has 2 PL goals.

Add his Champs League goals too. And its about the partnership with Rooney.

Tevez isn't as good as Rooney and Berbatov, Tevez's form up until Blackburn hasn't been very good at all.
