Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur

You cant be more deluded? Nani more likely. Also where is the cover for the defence?

No need to be nasty. The post was based upon the initial injury reports. If Nani is fit, then he is on the bench ahead of Tosic. We have no cover for our defense due to our injury situation. I'm sure Fergie will draft in some more youngsters but who knows which ones.

----------------Van Der Saar---------------

--Neville-----Rio-------Vidic-------Sheasy--

--Park-------Carrick--Scholes------Ronaldo--

-------------Tevez----Berbatov--------------

Subs: Kuzczak, Chester, Nani, Giggs, Wellbeck, Fletcher, Fabio
Prediction:3-1 win for us. Goals from Ronaldo, Berbatov, Vidic

We should be able to field a very good side despite missing eight players (OMG that's almost an entire XI - Rafael, Brown, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Hargreaves, Anderson, Rooney) - I assume Nani is going to make it in time. Considering our injury problems there might be a chance to see Fabio starting on the left with Park helping him out with defending.

Van der Sar
Neville - Vidic - O'Shea - Fabio
Ronaldo - Carrick - Fletcher - Park
Berbatov - Tevez

subs: Foster, Chester, Scholes, Gibson, Giggs, Nani, Welbeck

I'd be confident to go through, Spurs are utter shite. Palacios is ineligible to play, Pavlyuchenko is injured, so is King. We'll win this tie.
No more injuries please, hopefully Rio and/or Wes is/are coming back for the West Brom game.

If the transfer is completed in time, why would Palacios be ineligible to play?

if Fabio is not in the bench for this game, its going to be hard for him to make the bench, due to our injury problems he has to be on the bench atleast. If Nani is fit, then its Nani ahead of Tosic

Ronaldo vs Bale...
Ekotto is the first choice Spurs LB at the moment, and he's now completed a 4-match suspension and will be available for this match.

typically another harry redknapp performance..ie play the game of your lives and then continue to lose in the premiership

He's actually in good form at the moment and has been quite impressive of late ... but each to their own opinion.

So he's been in good form while he's been out suspended - ok.

Or are you talking about the West Brom match when he got sent off?

Bale has a better record with cup games..

Can't see Harry throwing out a full force with his injuries mounting, although he'll hate it he has to concentrate more on the league albeit it seems they are bringing new blood in so who knows...

Any more news on Dos Santos? He's injured but surely should be back by now...

Saw an interview earlier with Redknapp and he said as much that he doesn't care about the Wafa Cup nor the FA Cup and his main aims are the Carling Cup and league Survival

2 tickets for anyone who wants them?

South stand row 25 near tunnel, £44 facevalue but need shot of em so £35 each...PM me if you're interested. Need to know by tonight so I can post next day delivery tomorrow...

I suspect we may see Rio starting and Brown on the bench (if that 'Brown back in two weeks' article was to be believed)

'Arry said none of the players who faced Burnley will play us, going to be a 'weakened' team he sends up to us.

If true, that means no Defoe, Pavlyuchenko, Bentley, Dawson or Woodgate.

Redknapp has confirmed that he'll be playing a 'severely weakened team' this Saturday

do you guys think harry meand what he says.

It makes sense for a several reasons. First they played 120 minutes tonight and it's less than 72 hours until the cup game, so players may be tired on Saturday. Second, they have as much fixture congestion as we do and may need to give the league priority since they are in a bind near the bottom of the table. Third, they have injured and cup-tied players, e.g. King, Bent, Palacios. Fourth, like Wenger last season, they may not fancy their chances at Old Trafford, and bottle it with the team selection and performance, so they don't have to have a replay.

Now watch another 1-0 to 'arry.

Harry is usually a sharp shooter. Not one to get involved in pointless mind games. Says what he thinks etc.

I don't think it will be as reserve grade as you think though.

Hopefully its:

VDS
Neville (Rafael)
Evans (Rio)
Vida
O'Shea

Ronaldo
Fletch
Carrick
Park

Tevez
Berbatov

And no, I dont believe what Redknapp said. I assume they will play their strongest XI nonetheless

Wouldn't be the first time he's made whole style changes and played a different 11 if he thinks there's other games (i.e. Stoke at home) that his team have more likely hood of getting a result against. Lets face it even if they play their strongest team we'll more than likely win so what's the point in him risking players?

Could be 2 quite weakened sides. I'm sure the Spurs side will be reasonable, but I don't think he will risk some of his most important players, e.g. Woodgate, Defoe.

I think the centre of defence is where it's interesting. Even if none of the players featured today play he's still got some decent forwards and wide players (Lennon, Bent, Giovanni etc.) - not exactly complete reserves.

But - King is injured, and he's talking about leaving out Dawson and Woodgate - that could be an awfully weak, and unsettled, defence that we line up against...

Still not convinced he's being honest - but even if so I'd still like to see Tevez and Berbatov start to get a chance to build a striking partnership and maybe score some goals and boost their confidence. Also like to see Nani and Tosic play...

I believe he will play a weakened side but i don't believe that o all the players that played yesterday none of them will feature, if that was to be true who would play at CB??

Also that means Bent up front on his own

I think we'll line up as:

Foster
Neville Vidic O'Shea ???
Ronaldo Carrick Fletcher Nani
Tevez Berbatov

Not sure what the back 4 will be at all, 1 way we could do it i guess is:

Fletcher Neville Vidic O'Shea

Also, i hope Nani starts. He definitely seems to be a confidence player and should be feeling relatively pleased after Tuesday.
