Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur

I reckon Fergie will go with:

Foster
O'Solid Evans Vidic Fabio
Wellbeck Gibson Scholes Nani
Tevez Rooney

But if Neville is fit then him at RB and O'Solid at LB.

The most likely side IMO. Ronaldo seems to be a fixture in a alot of people's picks but he has only started one Carling cup game all season against Boro which was his first game back from injury and we play Newcastle on Wednesday. Can't see him playing on Sunday.

I am going to this on Sunday (ticketless at the minute, please see £200 thread or PM me if you know of a going spare ticket, willing to pay FV + 30).

Think we might see Neville, and a few of the bigger players too - We didn't play all those rounds to put out a weak team and get beaten in the Final. This is SAF - he plays to win everygame, especially in a final.

Fergie will play most of the kids who got him there, he played all those rounds to give them experience. Gibson already been guaranteed a spot, Welbeck should start, as will Evans and with Rafael out probably Fabio too. Nani and Tevez are certs and Rooney and Scholes will probably play as they did not play on Tuesday. For me that is not a weak side but I would not expect many who did not feature in the early rounds getting a game on Sunday. This is the start of five games in 13 days which ends with Inter and then the dippers at O.T following Newcastle and Fulham away. Out of all those games this will be one of SAF's lower priorites.

Still a cup though. Dont piss on my first cup final!

O'Solid  - cant argue with that description.

Same team as Ive picked too. Only question mark is Fabio. Id like to see him play some part, but SAF might want to start Evra to mark Lennon. Maybe Fabio will get a little cameo at right back at some point (Evans being taken off as a precaution, O'Shea to centre back)

I'm told that Spurs have only lost twice in a Wembley final in 14 attempts (including replays).

The odds are against you ;)

Foster
Nev
Vidic
O'Solid :D
Fabio
Nani
Gibson
Possebon
Anderson
Tev/Rooney
Wellbeck

PIG
Evra
Scholes
Tev/Roon
Ronaldo

not a bad bench

I suppose the back for is really up in the air depending on who's available - just can't see him pushing Evans in though when he's just had two pain-killing injections to get him thru Inter game. Anderson will be chomping at the bit after his turnout vs Ciddy the other night

that looks a bit 433 but I think with Nani on the right and tev/Roon just behind and left of Wellbeck

Damn right!

He's been really important to us this season yet some people still insist on slating him.

I can't see Evra starting purely because of all the big games coming up Fergie will want to make sure his ankle is fine. I suppose it's possible for O'Solid to play on the left and Fabio on the right but im not sure.

Personally i'm hoping Gazza makes it, i'd love to see him lift the cup.

Its a final, regardless of the team I expect to see alot of passion from our boys!

What's with Neville appearing in all the line-ups, has there been some news on his fitness?

Evans starts according to Fergie.

Fergie - Team is decided

Red Devils boss knows Cup final line-up

Ferguson: Knows his starting XI

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed he knows who his starting XI is to face Tottenham in the Carling Cup final.
The Red Devils tactician, who has already confirmed that Darron Gibson and Danny Welbeck would start, had been sweating over the fitness of Jonny Evans.
But the highly-rated Northern Ireland international is no longer a doubt, so Ferguson knows what his team will be.
Indeed, the United boss has admitted he actually knew what his starting XI would be earlier this week, telling MUTV: "I know what the team is. I knew days ago.
Picked

"There is always a reservation because you need players to get through a few days. But I don't think there is any doubt about Evans now, so the team is picked."
Ferguson has never been afraid of making bold decisions for big matches, none bigger than his decision to drop goalkeeper Jim Leighton in favour of Les Sealey for the 1990 FA Cup final replay.
The tough task of telling bitterly disappointed players they are not involved has never got any easier for Ferguson, however.
"It is not an easy decision," he said. "Everyone wants to play in a final and players have been whispering in my ear all week saying they want to play."

Glad Evans is playing, will be great for the lad.

Really want to win this, I'm sure there's nothing quite like going out and winning a cup at Wembley.

Foster/PIG

O'Shea Vidic Evans Fabio

Carrick Gibson Fletcher

Welbeck Tevez Rooney

Bench of PIG, Ferdinand, Brown, Giggs, Scholes, Berbatov, Ronaldo

I'd expect something like that. Highly reluctant to put either of the two reserve goalkeepers in though.

just 12 hours, 11 minutes and 10 seconds to go..

can see us getting a few goals but then again conceeding aswell, hoping for a 3-0 but i'll go with a 3-1.
