Manchester United vs Arsenal

I know, that was my initial thought. But it seems wierd, Tevez upfront with Rooney on the left just doesn't sound right. Would have made more sense if it was Berba starting instead of Tevez. But I guess im forgetting all the success we had last season playing like this, so Ill just shut my mouth and watch from now on.

How would it not sound right? We played the exact same formation last year with the exact same players even, except perhaps Brown instead of O'Shea. And Rooney has been on fire lately on the left. I would definitely leave Berbatov out tonight, it's going to be a high tempo and Arsenal will be fighting tooth and nail for the midfield.

Personally:

---------------VDS---------------
--O'Shea----Rio----Vidic----Evra--
--------Fletcher----Carrick--------
--Ronaldo----Anderson---Rooney--
---------------Tevez-------------

But I think Fergie will play:

----------------VDS---------------
--O'Shea-----Rio----Vidic----Evra--
--Ronaldo--Fletch--Scholes--Giggs--
---------Berbatov---Rooney--------
I see Fergie went against his own thoughts and decided to take my advice.

:nervous:

Exactly.

We seem to be targetting that exact scoreline.

Hopefully the hounding of them will be enough.

God knows with the creative talent in that midfield that if any of the top three have their shooting boots on, we could definitely score a few, however your point is a good one; it really depends what mentality they have tonight.

I'm disappointed that Nani isn't even on the bench, and that Berbatov and Giggs aren't starting....but Fergie often gets these games spot on, like at Chelsea this year.

I wouldn't bet against a thrashing.

So you disagree with the line-up but won't rule out a thrashing. You're not much of a gambler are you?

I'm not either btw...

I should have said that it doesn't sound right agaisnt Arsenal, IMO. This is Arsenal not Chelsea or Liverpool where there is a midfield scrap, and a team of hard workers helps. You have the opportunity to use pace, width and height against Arsenal. This is where I reckon we could have gambled, gone 4-4-2, used our wingers and have Berba and Ronnie attack the ball in the air. But as I said im forgetting the success we had last season with this system. I have faith in SAF and will just watch from now on.

VDS interview

fecking ESPN, there's a guy getting his arm broken during an arm wrestle with a chick and at the same the most important soccer game of the year is about to unfold. Americans... :annoyed:

Carlos' hair looks better.

Gay from me I know.

HAHA

Yeah I disagree with the lineup, because I'd like to see a more ambitious tactic.

I just hope I'm wrong, and I can see the merits trying to restrict your midfield, especially after the preamble about the importance of the away goal.

I never rule out a thrashing in our favour.

does anyone know how i can watch online WITHOUT sopcast!??

sopcast won't work for me anymore :(

any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated!

I'm doing a bit of yoga at the moment.

I'm calm. I'm cool. . .

soccernet having a pop...

"Fret ye not United fans, the PFA Player of the Year is on the bench. Fitting really, seeing as that is where he's spent most of the season."

Shitting it.

Hehe, know what you mean, I don't get the line up either. Hope the tactics work. If not, 4-2-4!
