The usual, we play 433 at home and manage to nulify the opposition but at the cost of leaving Rooney isolated. A change to 442 after half time would sort it out, bring Berba on and take Carrick or Giggs off. Fletcher and Nani have played well so far, that's about it.
Maybe better to take Carrick OFF, he's been really, really bad
Arse have played ok but theyre passing has been disjointed as well. We had several chances to counter and made some pretty horrific passes. This could all be vastly different if we were a little more patient with our attack.
We need these types of tests so im up for it.

Me thinks the midfield is getting bored with so many balls being lofted over their heads to Rooney. Whilst our side isn't passing it well, they are doing better at taking the ball off the Arse players. Keep the ball on the ground because they are winning the ground battle, as long as they stop giving the ball away at times they shouldn't.
I'm concerned about Scholes coming on because he gets stuck in too hard on these high profile matches. Cant' afford a red card.

We have two midfielders who have been pointless in Carrick and Giggs. Need to resolve that. Valencia needs to take more responsibility in making things happen.
Foster reminds me of Carroll at times. Howard is twice the keeper right now. I just have my doubts about Foster. Hopefully he comes good but this is VDS' last season and just not sure SAF needs to feck around during his final seasons trying to solve another goalkeeping crisis.

United controlled things in the first 30 minutes, and kept the ball in arsenal's end, but started to back-off and give space which turned things around for arse. passing was bad and chances few. put the defensive pressure back on the get rooney some help. COME ON UNITED!!

We've been in some decent positions in between their midfield and back four just not capitalised. Giggs in particular has been wasteful with his final ball. There's just no spark in that midfield at the moment. Valencia looks a bit nervous when he's on the ball, barring that run when he beat a few players he's just been content in passing it sideways.

Apparently he's willing to move next summer but I've read on here that some think he's past his best and starting to struggle at times. But that's the guy I could definitely see SAF going after and he'd probably sign if he's willing to leave Juventus (and Italy). The GK spot would be sorted for 6-8 years with him around.

Yea, that's what Fergie's squad selection here says to me. He doesn't really seem confident playing with 2 strikers at home when Arsenal don't even have their best player? That seems to indicate that he's not confident with his team's overall quality against the other big teams.
