Fletcher's been putting pressure on their midfield and winning back the ball. Carrick has really been non-existent, apart from when he's giving the ball away.
Also if Fletcher didn't fly in, Arshavin would have had a clear strike at goal, and we've seen now first hand how deadly he is.
I don't think Giggs should be substituted. His passing wasn't good, but it's pretty tough picking a lone striker playing agianst 3 defenders. Still, he was a t the heart of what we did create, and I expect him to continue that.

4 - 3 - 3 is leaving Rooney too isolated upfront.
We can't just knock the ball forward and expect Rooney to do anything against two defenders on his own with the ball coming out of the sky. This is why I don't like this system.Put Berbatov on and drop Rooney deeper.
There is not much in it over all but this could get ugly for us if we over load going forward. Bit worried, going first goal down to the Arse is not ideal.

Defo penalty, don't know how Dean missed that. But at least Fletcher is doing something out there. Carrick has been utter shit today. We know he's your boy though.

1) It was piss poor goalkeeping. When you are beaten from that range, with a shot without much backlift, you are at fault. Ben Foster should have done better. Have to give Arshavin some credit, but i still stick to my opinion that most top goalkeepers would have save that.
2) We played to Arsenal's game. We should have played with two upfront and put more pressure on their backline. Carrick and Giggs were invisible. Carrick was supposed to retain possession and pick out passes for the striker, be it long or short. Giggs was supposed to run at their backline. Both did neither.
3) We got to step up for the next 45mins and bring in another striker for either Carrick or Giggs and i have no doubt we will get at least a draw. Mark my words.

I have doubts over Foster too. He doesn't look confident and i can see him costing us points this season. If this goes against us he will already have. Just doesn't seem to be authoritative. He cost us the 2nd goal against Chelsea too. Come on Foster.

Rooney has been shite. Valencia and Nani put in a couple of great crosses and he was not even in the centre of the box and Alumina had easy collects. He was also selfish to take the free kick when Nani scored from the same spot last week.
