As I'd said back then as well Rooney at home is far far better than the out of position Rooney away from home. Just because he's not scored much at home does not mean he was not integral to our attack. 3 assists vs B'ham but you don't seem to think assists mean much.
I never wanted him dropped...because I could see his contribution to the team. He was poor v Blackpool because of the formation he was asked to play in...many others were poor too.
