Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Giggs will play up top. Ronaldo out wide.

Please please please please.

Giggs and Tevez is a frustrating combo.

Agreed, we really need them to get attacking support from Nani and Ronaldo.

On another note, we are lacking a bit of pace in defence. I can see Agbonlahor causing O'Shea and Neville a bit of trouble.

I think people are worrying too much. Without Laursen Villa are a shambles in defense.

Our defense isn't great today either, and that's why we've got Fletcher and Carrick and not Scholes - Carrick.

Our attack should rip them apart.

Mark my words it will be a 4-4-2 with Fletcher on the Right and Carrick + Giggs in the middle

Not likely at all, Ferguson knows the defense is weak, he'll need Fletcher playing defensive to help them out. Carrick-Giggs would be far too attack minded.

Will Neville or O'Shea be at right-back? Probably be up against Ashley Young.

Still a strong XI but a very weak bench.

It one of the biggest tests for the likes of O'Shea, Nani and Fletcher, with liverpool closing in.

Anyhoot, what would our team of unavailable players look like today?

-Brown--Rio--Vidic--Fabio/Rafael?

--Hargreaves--Scholes--Anderson

---Rooney--Berbatov--Manucho

It'd give today's side a good run for its money thats for sure. Even without a keeper!

Are you crazy? Imagine Neville against Young! Oshea will be better against him and Neville is old enough to know how to read the game

O'Shea will get raped if Young is on his game, last time he played against him he had Park in front of him who marked Young out the match and he ain't there today. And Neville always looks dodgy as hell at CB, the last time we played Evans - Neville as a partnership we were an utter shambles at the back and conceded 3 at home to Blackburn in the CC!

I know but its what always happens, SAF knows Giggs cant play on a wing so he plays him more central which pushes Fletcher out wide - it always happens, the only thing i think could happen is Giggs plays behind Tevez and Ronaldo moves to the wing.

I'll put it this way if Fletcher and Carrick is in the middle we win if not it could be a long day

wow this isnt great news but not the worse we still have a team with the ability to win so feck all the bullshit lets just be positive and hope our players do what we know they can

If Young is on his game he'll give anyone a hard time so thats irrelevant.

Aston Villa: Friedel, Luke Young, Cuellar, Davies, Shorey, Milner, Petrov, Barry, Ashley Young, Carew, Agbonlahor

Subs: Guzan, Delfouneso, Knight, Salifou, Reo-Coker, Gardner, Albrighton

As long as SAF is not going to experiment with Fletcher wide right, I like the look of this side. Giggs best position is now as an attacking midfielder/support striker and Nani/Ronaldo gives us a genuine attacking threat on the wings. Tevez is best playing off someone but he is the only experienced forward we can call upon without playing Ronaldo out of position.

The defence is not the best but we are at home and there is enough experience and ability there to take care of Villa. Hopefully we can get a comfortable lead and give the future a chance. Would love to see Welbeck/Macheda get a run together today if possible.

Oshea has pace compared to Neville, Young will knock the ball and chase it. So i will ask again, Neville vs Young or Oshea vs Young?

Exactly. If we slip up today, then that's because the players that were out there didn't do a good enough job, it doesn't matter whether there is players suspended or out injuried. The lads out there should be good enough to get this win, if not then there can be no excuses IMO. We're not Liverpool FFS, we can't blame slip-ups on one or two players not being involved. The players we have in the squad are good enough to get the job done.
