Both Milner and Downing have played centrally for them with some effect this season, we'll have to wait and see how they play it.

Come on mate if Nani was in Sir Alexs plans hed at the very least be on the bench today...the only first team game hes been involved in for the past 2 months nearly was the dead rubber in wolfsburg...with us having half a midfield in defence....not even on the bench today tells its own story i think....last time he started a league game??

Anderson plays very well in that deep position actually, especially with someone like Carrick beside him. It's where he picks out his best passes and does the dirty work well. I can't see why you'd have him as far up as Giggs will be playing, seeing as he can't shoot for shit.

As long as you give Anderson a defence-minded partner he usually is decent in a two-man mid.
