Manchester United Vs. Aston Villa

It'll be interesting to see how it goes.
Owen and Berbatov played well together in pre-season, but that was against weaker opposition.
 
Surprised Evra is starting, sort of disappointed too he looks like he has been in need of a rest for a few weeks now. Not that I don't want us to win this, but I would have been quite happy seeing us take a chance by resting Evra
 
I'd love it if Rafael owns the Villa attack...LOVE IT

Problem seems to be a lack of cover for him. Last I heard Fabio was injured and Delaet too.Shame though, I want him to be given a rest too for the games that are to follow the wolves fixture, we cant afford much rotation.
 
I'd rather see Rooney playing. He doesn't seem like the type of player who wants to be rested, especially when in such great form.
 
Starting line up is basically what I though I would be, happy enough but we need the players to actually perform now. Fletcher and Carrick in the middle have a lot of work to get through this afternoon, and there will be a lot of responsibility on Berbatov to find and exploit the space up front.

Evans at LB and Brown at CB? or Brown at RB and Rafael at LB. I would have been happy with either. It's not like Evra is going to have an easy game up against Young

Tbf to Fergie this probably might be the only big game where he can start Berba and owen both because i think we'll be using 4-5-1 with rooney alone uptop for the remaining big games of the season.
 
Looking forward to seeing the Owen and Berbatov partnership, as that has looked the best partnership we have, better than Rooney + AN Other.

Owen is that perfect player on the last defenders shoulders, making the runs that Berbatov loves to find in and around the box.
 
I hope Rooney doesn't play for England midweek, and Egypt win
 
I'm pleased PIG is starting, Foster got his moment last season in this final and Kuszczak has played well this season and deserves a chance to get us a trophy.

Problem is with evans and brown's dodgy form right now, would it be wise to start them completely out of position against a side like villa especially as you mention Young.
True about Evra not having the easiest of games against young but tbh I would be a lot more nervous if either of brown or evans would have to face him at LB.As far as Rafael goes, think its best to leave him at RB. He's doing well there and he links up well with Valencia. Its one of our better partnerships on the field.
 
Best to watch it on BBC or Sky?
