Hope Mainoo starts today so the lad can breath some CL air. Might be quite a long time until he would have another chance I think.

We say that every year we have a bad run but a change of manager (possibly even getting a good one this time) and a few new signings and we will be back in the CL running next season. We’ve had pretty much everything go wrong this season and it’s still plausible we will scrape top 4.

aight well at least a couple changes but yeah the midfield disgrace continues. Bayern are going to chew them up. Literally chelsea chewed the midfield up and they suck. If they had any decent finishing ability things wouldve been different that game. I just cant believe something that is so obvious to me is somehow not a big deal to a supposed top coach.

legit think i might rather have mainoo/gore as the midfield "two" vs amrabat mctominay. I put two in quotes because we know it will be just a midfield 1 but still. Mainoo/gore/bruno sounds better than mctominay/amrabat/bruno and at least would get them experience moving forward.

The bad news are that it means Maguire will play to the left where he normally has zero progressive passes and also tend to lose possession under pressure.

Oh it’s not even close. If I had the choice of Mainoo/Gore/Hannibal youngster trio or what we are trotting out there tonight I’d choose the former. At least we’d be athletic and show some technical quality. We’ll predictably get tan through tonight instead so better hope we score our chances!
