Manchester United vs. Beşiktaş JK

Anyway you slice it, kids or not to lose to Besiktas at home is sickening.

I am getting sick of the CL group stages. Embarrassing result and football. Congrats to Besiktas.

Group stage is just boring. We win three games, without being too inspiring, and then we move on to the squad players and youngsters. As Fergie says, it really starts in February.

Yeah.. pretty harsh on the kids... They are young and learnin
We deserved a draw .. Rustu was super...

Oh well.Never test the keeper enough until the end which is unforgivable considering the attacking power out there.

Listening to some of you'll is embarrasing. SAF did what he always does in a dead rubber, play the youngsters. He did so but it did not result in a win. Atleast all of them came out with some experience of playing a big European night at OT and learnt that teams park their bus after scoring against us.

Noone screwed up. We put out a young team knowing we may lose. Worth a gamble

Poor selection. Poor team. Poor subs.

What a load of shit. There goes our 8 year unbeaten home group stage record. There goes out 23 game unbeaten home CL record. Against a shite team.

Now, instead of getting a point against some shit at home to top the group and increase the chances of a favourable draw and a home 2nd leg, we now have to go to the German champions and get something. Why couldn't we have played a mixture of youth and experience tonight, got the job done, and then played the kids away? Why do we always piss about?

Unlucky in the first half and their goal came from nothing. Second half was poor until the subs came on and then we almost did it. Subs should have come on earlier imo.

It was a really crap match.

Crap fans tonight as well.

Some of the lads looked like they were running on a treadmill - no urgency really. Disappointing.

Absolutely spot on.

Horrible stuff. Loved the passion and intensity at the weekend, and this was the painful hangover.

Can't play this starting lineup against Spurs. Need Rooney or Fletcher to play, just to make the young players realise that you can't be casual.

And in Germany I can't see us getting a result. Fergie won't want to play a strong team, and we're going to end up coming runners up in the group.

Obertan played well, but faded towards the end (understandably I guess).
Park, Welbeck and Macheda did quite well. A big black hole apart from that. Owen and Carrick did no better than the players they replaced.

Because playing the kids away at Wolfsburg would be sending them out to lose. They had a great chance of winning tonight (and to be honest, we deserved at least a point), and it would have been a much more valuable experience than getting hammered at wolfsburg.

We're manchester united and we take pride in our youth development. You can't have it both ways - developing the kids will inevitably lead to some risky decisions.

Would we have played the kids at Wolfsburg? A few years back Fergie chose a weak team, lost and that greatly affected the qualification situation of other teams. After that he said he'll be more aware of those things. I'm not sure we would have sent the kids anyway.

Team was fine. Unfortunately they got a lucky goal, and young players are always going to struggle more when they have to come from behind. The experience will do them good, and there's no great harm for us. I can't give a cr*p about our '8 year unbeaten record'. We had a 40 year record. Once that was gone, it doesn't matter.

I feel sick of us losing to crap team, ffs burnley and now this, pathetic....

That's the thing I was trying to say. Besides If we lose against Wolfsburg, we can finish the group 2nd I think. We did this mistake in 2004/5 season. we lost to Fenerbahce 3-0 and had to play against AC Milan, while Lyon trashed Werder Bremen.

I don't mean to be bitter but Besiktas really are a set of cnuts. Rolling around like girls. Wasting time. Arsewipes.

Why are people so annoyed by this result? We managed to give the younger lads some great experience of what a lot of European games are like and we've already qualified. It's not guaranteed that we'll win every game, where'd be the fun in that?

We finished first last season and got Inter. It's the luck of the draw more than anything else.

maybe because we hadn't been defeated in OT for ages
