Manchester United vs. Blackburn Rovers

FT:SAF took this game likely and we came unstuck.Steve Kean given a huge boost

Has a team ever come to OT and done so little to score 3 goals?

Blackburn have not even played particularly well today i don't think, a dogged everybody behind the ball Newcastle type performance i could accept, but today we have been quite simply all over the place.

Started the game with too many square pegs in round holes, and although better second half, we look so vulnerable through the middle it's frightening at times.

If this is the best team we can put out at the minute, then on the evidence of today against an injury ravaged and very average Blackburn team, then we look like we are going to struggle in the next few games against better opposition until we get some players back.

Very disappointing performance and a missed opportunity to put the pressure on City, due to poor utilisation of what we actually had available today. It may be his birthday, but SAF has really spoiled it for himself as well as everybody else with his decision making today imo.

Fergie fecked up big time by leaving Giggs and Rooney out. Unless they are completely unfit they should have been on the bench at least - an injury crisis is hardly the best opportunity to rest two of our best players.

A shocking decision that may cost us the title.

Almost seems as a mistake to rest Rooney, Giggs unless they are injured. But we have had lots of chanses to kill the game, but haven't been able to score

Gibson on would've been nice, I can only assume the viral outbreak occurred.

De Gea will be crucified now. Needs so much more confidence when coming for the ball.

Lineup failed as well.

To think we were all taking the piss out of Liverpool for dropping two points at Anfield.

God damn you Steve Keane. Just what the feck are you.

This is revenge for all our chicken jokes.

Agree, but to be fair we had 97 minutes to score more than they did...

Those extra time minutes are there for a reason. There were 8-10 minutes of this game where the ball wasn't in play. Corners, goal kicks, goal celebrations and substitutions by the masses.

Terrible, rotation costs us again, next week I expect the goalie upfront the centre back partnering him and berbatov and Rooney as centre backs! All that effort to get back in and we go and do that at old trafford. It just goes to show we lack squad depth, some of our players are just not good enough.

Can't help but think we were guilty of complacency there. All of Blackburn's goals came from absolutely nothing.

Why did we start with that dreadful experimental line up with everyone all over the shop, and choose to give a load of kids their chance on the bench when we could have drawn from the likes of Rooney or Giggs, even if only for a cameo at the end?

De Gea exposed in the air again I'm afraid. Poor goal to concede.

Fergie got the team selcection horribly wrong.

Great run of fluid football ended by what I can only think was 'That'll be enough to beat them'.

Second half better, players in position. Got hit my a sucker punch.

I hope it's a happy birthday, because my New Years is going to be fecking miserable.
