Prediction:3-1

Expect rooney to score atlease one beacuse of all the flak he's been getting from the dysfunctional england side!!!

At last! Bring an end to this wretched international break!

It seems like the games are always awful after the international breaks.

Hopefully the England meltdown and dressing room dressing downs will inspire our players.

I would like to see Scholes show Gerrard, Lampard et. al. how to provide service to Rooney.

The break may be a blessing for us. Means we might have VDS, Evra, Gaz and Saha available for our next match.

-----------------Rooney-----Saha---------------------

Hoping there all back from injuries

Not an easy match, but Scholes will be an invaluable comeback. The lad is definitely well rested now and can deliver great performances in the matches to come. I really think Scholes will continue to play a major role for United till the end of the season.
Glory, Glory Man United!

On the other hand we might have problems to find our best form just after one game... so I am always against those international games during the season

friedel does usually produce game-of-his-career stuff against us.
hopefully we'll be good enough to beat him!

Well hopefully its as awful as the Fulham(home), Wigan and Sheff Utd away games this season.

On what football basis does Evra replace Heinze?

You seem to forget that Evra has been excellent this season, pretty short memory you have. Evra certainly deserves his place back

I can see Park instead of Giggs though

Brilliant post, let's not forget Evra actually has been one of our best this season. At home we should definately attack, thus Evra the better option.

God I miss United, and the Premiership for that matter :(

Can't wait to see the lads in action for US again, especially Don Cristiano :D

It's A Wayne Check http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid={C7DF7CEC-3BC3-4859-A3FD-FE4AAD215DD8}&newsid=414689
Sir Alex Ferguson may rest Wayne Rooney for Manchester United's home game with Blackburn on Saturday to save his star striker from burn-out. Rooney's punishing schedule has seen him play seven games in 25 days. Now Fergie wants to have the 21-year-old in peak condition for next week's Champions League away tie against Roma.

...so Saha and Giggs up front then?

agree with resting Rooney....if that is what happens..

I'd love to see Smith have a run-out. If you put Ryan in attack, who'd play on the left, Park?
Either way seem fine to me, the important thing is to win and prevent Rooney from being worn out.

2-0 to us, rooney and scholes to score.

The old cliche, "every game is important ". I think this is probably our hardest home game left. Chelsea are probably ticking this one, as the one real chance of a "Home banana skin"!...... A fresh Paul Scholes back, let's again go 9pts ahead of them before they play... then we can relax & cheer for our cup semi opponents !

Try yourself for short-term memory. Heinze has been excellent the last few games. Further, he is a better defender than Evra.

Therefore, why don't you just say that you prefer Evra and not refer to my "memory"? If you can read properly, you will see that I was posing a question, not having a fecking go at anyone.

I think Evra should play vs. Blackburn and Heinze should play vs. Roma, with Ronaldo on the left with him (they seem to have a special, not in a gay way, understanding) and Rooney on the right.

Agreed.

Although if Evra plays well or as good as he did before the injury then I think he should go into the Roma match as well.

It is a joy to watch Evra and Ronaldo linking up together on the left hand-side. The pace of both the players is devestating alone, but together they really stretch the oppositions defence.

Gaz is out for a long while, Brown will start

I'm just happy we can see some proper football now, the international break has been TOOOOOO long. This will be a tough week, with the CL game just a few days after this one which is a very tough one indeed, a victory of any kind would be awsome.

Despite the Internationals, we have quite a few fresh players who didn't play.

I reckon at least Giggs will be rested, maybe one of Rooney and Ronaldo too.

-------Saha-Rooney--------

Maybe Smith starts in Rooney's place though.

says saha is very doubtful for the next game .. ronaldo is doubtful
can anyone confirm if saha is fit to play

Scholes return could be the key

Sir Alex Ferguson believes Paul Scholes is crucial as United look to edge closer to the Premiership title.

The 32-year-old midfielder was sent off against Liverpool at Anfield, but after serving his three-match ban he is available for the Premiership visit of Blackburn on Saturday.

Having chosen to retire from international football, Scholes is one of the few United players who has not been involved in the Euro 2008 qualifiers in the last two weeks.

Since being sent off against Liverpoool on 3 March, his only outing has been in the European Celebration match at Old Trafford on 15 March. Sir Alex, therefore, feels the playmaking midfielder should be fit and fresh as the season enters the final straight.

"Paul regards family life as very important," Sir Alex told Sky Sports.

"He knows what the travelling with the international team is like and, coming to his age, I think he felt it was time to give more time to his family. That is the reason he gave up international football.

"His form this season has been absolutely fantastic and now we are getting him back fresh after a little break."

The United boss is likely to have Louis Saha back at his disposal following a hamstring injury, while Edwin van der Sar (calf), Ole Gunnar Solksjaer (knee) and Darren Fletcher (ankle) could also be recalled after recent lay-offs.

Edit: Giggs pushed up, Saha out Park in. Heinze in for Evra, who still isn't fit enough.

this is not a good game to rest players in, even if Fergie needs to rest a few players like maybee Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs(all have played 4 matches in 9 days between Boro and the internationals two days ago.)

Blackburn are a good team, would have been much better if we played Watford like Chelsea will. Mourinho can afford to rest 4-5 players if he wants to and still win tomorrow easy. We can't do that against a good Rovers.

VDS
Brown Ferdinand Vidic Heinze
Park Carrick Scholes Ronaldo
Rooney Giggs

subs; Kuszczak, O'Shea, Ole, Smith, Evra(if he's ok)

If Saha would have been ok, I think Fergie would have rested Rooney. Don't think he will do that now.
