Manchester United vs. Bolton Wanderers

1633: Nope, Danny Welbeck cannot continue - he pulled his hamstring while stretching for the shot. Javier Hernandez is on instead. Wayne Rooney is fine though, despite hurting his shoulder as he fell in the build-up.

BOLLOX.. How long do pulled hamstrings take to repair?
If it was a hammy, the reaction would suggest it could be a tear.
A month then.I'm no doctor.
Hope it isnt.

Depends on the severity and individual. It's a very common injury in sports that require short bursts of pace/speed.

Giggs had plenty of troubles with them in his early years.

Our 'midfield' problems suddenly seem to somehow be gone! 2 goals from central midfield!!

Carricks passes the ball 3 yards into the corner of the net. What a grea trademark piece of craftsmanship from Michael Carrick.

That was almost brilliant from Giggs then. Tackling whilst dragging the ball back into his control

Looked more like he twisted his ankle on the supporting leg under his body to me.

6 weeks min usually, depends how badly he's pulled it, could be back sooner. From experience, it's best to wait with those kind of injuries though

How do people get paid for shit?

The commentator is like" the scoreline looks comfortable but hasn't been that comfortable for them.

They constantly say shit like that to pick up the glove for the little man who obviously hasn't done anything to deserve it. It's patronizing Bolton if anything.

A month without Welbeck would be very bad news with the games coming up.

A pull and a tear are much different. A torn hamstring could mean a long spell out, while a pull could be a couple weeks depending on the severity of the pull and recovery process.

On a another note...

Is it just me or does Rio not look comfortable playing on the left side of central defense?

Hamstring usually 5-6 weeks at least

He pulled his hamstring early in the season and came back relatively quickly. £ or so weeks IIRC.

Fcuk. Really annoying. Bad news for the team as he is in a great run of form and earned his place in the first XI.

Really sad for him too, having been in such great form and establishing himself and his confidence.

Still, as SAF said to Berbatov, this is why we need depth in the striking department. Hernandez also needs to recapture that sumptuous form he showed last year

Giggs has looked pedestrian on the ball since coming on.

Much happier with this scoreline. Of course the obvious .... but also will vindicate the side that when they play well, they win well.

Would be great if Rooney can steal a goal in last 3 mins to repair any lost confidence from todays performance which has been patchy at its most generous.

Don't like Valencia's crosses. He's always 'blasting' them, making them very hard to control.
