RaWK, first and third is same person, one of you, right? Or there are normal RAWK posters
Basel have a good record against English teams and are not as weak as a lot of people seem to think they are. Burton held United to a 0-0 draw 12 years ago and United hardly have a perfect record against lower league sides.

We've gotten easy draws before and they've gotten hard draws before.
They have got tough draws? I don't remember, certainly doesn't happen often, if it does. How does it matter what Burton did 12 years ago, mate?
Chelsea in the FA Cup last season is certainly one. They get a mixture, though, I don't understand why some of our fans sound like bitter Everton fans about United.

It doesn't matter to the current teams, but 12 years ago United were much better than they are now, and Burton were non-league at the time.

    back to 2nd half

I think Lingard is playing behind Martial and Rashford, like the most advanced midfielder, so 3-5-2.

You take what you can from these games.. these games are good as it rotates the squad, can get the manager and coach thinking, and gives players confidence. No Pogba, No Ibra... so we need these games. Good to see Romero in goal, Shaw back, Carrick playing is very important.

Its' really a training session. The competition is not even pre-season level. No point in talking tactics, just need to cool down and enjoy the goals.
Thanks, not anything more. This match wont show how good we truly are, we'll see that in the coming weeks. Although its nice to see us playing some lovely stuff and scoring goals. Boost the confidence of our players.

Shaw should have gone back to Romero there but he showed good pace to recover. Better decision making will come with minutes.

If that was enough to make you a good fullback, that conclusion would've been fair. Alas...

I didn't say he was our best left back because of that run did I? Based on talent, he's our best left back. Simple as.

    We look clueless playing 5-3-2

3 at the back seems to have killed this. Oh well, at least we get some more practice with the system.

What does that mean? He might be our most talented left back but "best" is not hypothetical. It's determined by performances.

I hope he does become our best left back.

Couple of times Shaw could have lofted the ball through to a runner on the left, but he turned and passed it back. Couple of times he's not been where teammates thought he would with regards making a run.

Rusty and lacking confidence. Hope he gets it back soon.

There's no positional discipline, players are just trying to do all by themselves.

Kinda feel like Lingard needs to stay more central and behind Rashford and Martial. Too often he kinda just abandoning his position then there really isn't any link between midfield and the attack.
