I really hoped the signing of Mata would change our tactical approach. But hey the same applied for Kagawa and that didnt happen at all. Just hope Mata won't go the same road as him.

Liverpool were outplayed by Villa at home and were lucky to get a point in that game. It's a case of Liverpool wanting to win the local derby and Everton being shit/missing some important players. Not saying that they have been poor/lucky this season, because they haven't, but we stil have a chance for that top 4 spot, especially with a game at Old Trafford still to come.

Started beautifully for the first 10 minutes, superb off the ball movement and we had Cardiff looking confused and lost. Then we stopped the one touch play and cardiff slowly got in to the game.

I think with Giggs you get some sublime performances mixed with some where his age shows.
I'm sure it's his last season now. Those performances where he still has influences are too few and far between now.
We aren't defensively stable enough to luck this out, Moyes needs to quit being timid and throw on the full firepower. Unless we give Cardiff more to worry about they will keep coming at us and they will score.

Giggs hasn't been that bad at all. Made a few interceptions, and tracked back a good amount.

Give over, Young had a good half.The good thing with Mata is that his passing range is much better than Kagawa's, he can play some beautiful long passes. It can be a worry though as that wouldn't necessarily change the horrible football we've been playing this season.

I don't know whether everyone is talking about Everton or United because United play like Everton.I really can't stand seeing Chris Smalling play for us. He is decent at defending, but that is where it completely stops. Whenever he receives the ball he SHITS himself, no matter where he is. Not only that, but then he plays the ball (awfully, after a few bambi on ice manoeuvres) and attempts to tell the person he's played it to to get it as far away as possible from himself. He is a coward and a pretty shocking footballer.
Young and Valencia haven't exactly been poor but they just hug the touchline and when Mata gets the ball high up the pitch, he looks up to pass and there just isn't anyone. We can't really play with such static and predictable players such as Young and Valencia and the even more passive Jones in midfield. Rooney and Adnan coming on would give both RvP and Mata more options.
I think we've played quite well to be honest. We could be more than 1 up and defensively we have looked ok. Ive been impressed with Mata and RVP, Evra has played ok and Young has played better than shite.
ffs look at the players you're using to use your view on "proper wingers". Reality check man, you mentioned some of the best players in the world. Why would you expect something close to that from Young ? You'd be only hurting yourself.
Robben hardly is in the same category is he? Hazard neither. It's what I expect from a United winger or at least a performance close to what they do week in week out.
