Manchester United vs. Cardiff City

Once Rooney is back fit he won't be. Giggs and Jones have done both well before and terribly as a pair. Hopefully we'll see the good and not the bad. Young isn't as bad as everyone makes out and we've a great front two.

The bench is excellent and we have match changers a plenty.
Young is definitely not as bad as some let on, agreed. I'd much rather him on the right with Kagawa on the left to be honest. Both contribute more than Valencia.

45 minutes for RVP with Mata behind him. 45 Minutes for Rooney with RVP behind him.

It's a shit line-up, but I don't necessarily blame Moyes for that. Disappointed that we still seem to be continuing with 442, but we can't completely change our formation within a week. I'm sure there will be subtle changes over the next few weeks. Until then...bring it on Valencia and Young, I dare you to ruin Mata's big night.

Agreed. Nice to see Mata centrally. Of all the permeations I foreseen for tonight Mata wasn't central in any of them.

If Fletcher was in sudden heed of 2-3 weeks rest i'd have expected that to be newsworthy, these suggestions of him being rested are quite without foundation of any kind as far as i am aware.

Why Moyes won't try something different i just don't know, a midfield three or diamond...something.

Who is this guy they are interviewing on MUTV? What a waste of time

Moyes was speaking about wanting flexibility with his attacking players. Valencia is a rook on a chess board.

Struggling to find a river, the ones I've found either end up being BT or shit quality on AceStream.

Agreed, but I'm looking at that team tonight and thinking it's more of a 433. In all likelihood Mata will probably play as the most advanced of a midfield three and won't be as advanced as a Rooney or Welbeck would be.

Young and Valencia should both be nowhere near the team after the shite they have both served up recently.

If things don't go according to plan Moyes will get slaughtered for his team selection.

I don't think it will be a 433 but tbh even if it was Young and Valencia aren't really suited to it. Valencia isn't going to make an inside run for Mata to feed off and whilst Young could he's often very passive. That's why I can't get them playing. They've continutally been poor. Kagawa hasn't been great but he can link up with Mata in a way these two can't. We'll have to see what happens, and the team is still strong enough to win but it's a bit disappointing.

On a different note, I completely forgot that cnut Bellamy existed. What an odious little rodent.

Why not play Jones in defence instead of Evans, play Cleverley in midfield and put Januzaj and Rooney or Kagawa (if Rooneys not fit) at the expense of Valencia and young in a 4-2-3-1. We are at home against Cardiff!!? If you wanted a more defensive player than Giggs you could always play fletcher there (hate to say it).

Because Evans is the better CB and Jones is better than Cleverley, especially next to Giggs who needs a runner alongside him. Januzaj is rested after a run of games. Kagawa's omission is a worry though.

As much as ppl don't like it Young and Valencia are squad players and this is a game where you play your squad.

Valencia played well in the last game right? alrightish? Did I dream that?

I was hoping we'd put out a starting eleven to strike fear into Cardiff, don't see them being all that bothered.

We also have Stoke away in less than a week. This game isn't the end of the season.

To be fair to Moyes, Mata said that he admires Giggs. I think it's a nice gesture to let the wee Spanish lad (it feels so weird saying that phrase as a Norwegian..) play alongside such a legend.

Mata and van Persie, how deadly does that look?
it does look brilliant. until seeing who's either side of them, big tone smashing everything into the legs of anything that moves, and young shitc**ting about with overhit cross after overhit cross.

Valencia is fair enough, or one of them for Januzaj who could do with a break but both is disappointing considering as a combo they've been undoubtedly a significant part of our problems this season.
