The Nemanjinator: Judgement Day

This is the big one. If we are going to beat Chelsea it is this weekend. They haven't looked that impressive so far while we have been a class above everyone else. Considering that we always have our best form in the second half of the season, if we win this weekend I have would have the belief that we can do it. Losing may well mean giving Chelsea that confidence boost that propels their season. They havent hit their straps so far but they will eventually, with all that class in their squad it is inevitable they will. Lets hit the bastards while theyre down, tell him who the feck is boss. Show them how real football is played.

So much key battles this weekend. I have two main worries. One being Drogba. He is in some form right now and quite often Rio isnt up to it physically. Vidic will be Vidic but it is key that Rio feckn steps up this weekend, show his bottle and show everyone the feckn defender we all know he is.

I also see them taking Scholes right out of the game with their four central midfielders. So I reckon we gotta play width. Luckily for us we have the two best wingers in the league while theyre havin all sorts of problems with their fullbacks. Cashleys been average whilst they have resorted to makeshift Geremi it seems for the time being on the right. Exactly what we need. Play with width, play Evra, and hit them hard.

Lets feckn thrash these bastards, and show every single person in the world the team we are.

No reason...no justification...but we are going have these rentboys! Got a six pack already cooling, although to be honest it's just in the fridge but anyway, and i cannot wait.

I would never overlook an opponent

...apart from Celtic.

I'll think about the Chesea game after the Celtic game.
You don't win anything for creating the thread you know.

7-0 utd, Rooney 2, (28,42) Saha, 3, (12,23,67) Ronaldo (78) Scholes (90) :):):):):):):) Sound good?

I think the key will be the wingers Ronaldo, giggs and the full backs. Chelski have no width they will play all 4 of the CMs in midfield. When Chelski played Spurs there wingers has a great game.

I think the team Fergie will play is pretty obvious bar left back. He might pull a shock and play Heinze, because I have a feeling Chelsea will try and exploit Evra's height, just like Sheffield Utd did for their goal.

I hope for the same line up as v Shef Utd, although I think that will still not be enough to beat Chelsea.

We will lose, the players will not be mentally ready after what happened tonight.

VDS
Gaz Rio Vida Evra
Ron Scholes Carrick Giggs
Saha Rooney

i hope wa can crush them....maybe a 3-0 to make up for that 3-0 defeat last season.

Unlikely, but one can hope.

Isn't john terry banned for this match (he got sent off during the spurs game)?
Think he served it in the league cup game

After seeing the Celtic game, I get the feeling that we may try the same formation again, as we can't afford to get outmuscled in the middle of the park.

Scholes--Carrick--Giggs
Ronaldo ---------Rooney
----------Saha--------

That would be very gay.

If you try and beat Chelsea in the middle of the park your dead. In all liklyhood Jose will go for Makelele, Essien, Lampard & Ballack giving him incredible strength in the middle. We only really stand a chance of winning if we use our wingers to exploit the width of the pitch...and for me thats also why Evra should start ahead of Heinze as i think he's better at over-lapping. We need to get right up on there full backs and smash them. Rooney moving out wide aswell when were attacking to always try and give us a two on one

It's Going To Be A Very Tough Mathch If We Don't Improve.

At Sheffield We Won Because Of Rooney. At Glasgow We Already Lost.

Our Attacking As A Unified Front Is Out Of Form. Badly! We Are Going To Score Zero Goal If They Keep Playing Like That.

OTHER THAN THAT WE ARE ABSOLUTELY FINE.

How is our attacking form out of sorts? Last five premiership games we have scored 12 & conceded 1, i mean what more do you want?

In last three games it has been a bit lost compared to what it was in some games earlier. Obvioulsy they can't play like they played, let say againts Portsmouth or Fulham, all season.

What I meant was in last three games there have been signs of un-unified attacking between Saha, Rooney and Ronaldo and between attackers and midfielders.

Last three games:

2-1 Sheff Utd (A)
1-0 Blackburn (A)
3-0 Portsmouth (H)

Portsmouth are what 4th in the league and we stuffed them 3-0, We beat Blackburn for the first time in years on a absolutely awful night, terrible conditions and yet we stepped up and did the job, and good win against a dogged Sheff Utd team that we throughly deserved. As good premeiership form as we could want going into a big match surely?

nobody can question our premiership form but I hope last nights result will mean that they'll step up on Sunday.
hope it's a cracking game, with us edging them to get the win.

bad feeling about this, hopefully I am wrong. A win will be bloody great though.

i am pretty confident we will win. it will be a close game though: 1-0 or 2-1. both sides are too good to just blow each other out by scores of 3-0, 4-0 etc. saha will have extra motivation to play well after his performance against celtic. and the good thing is, we've always seemed to bounce back nicely this year from losses. and keep in mind, its chelsea that has alot of pressure to win. if they lose, they're going to be 6 points back. as long as united does not lose by 4 goals, we're still on top of the table.

rrarraroonm you jinxed us in the celtic game by making this thread before we'd even played that match.

I hate you.
