it should really be at least a draw with some excellent build up play and us struggling to get it in the net..

i think we owe it to him to take apart the club and certain staff/players who brazenly stabbed him in the back..and to give roman a lesson in tactical decision making!

It could work but there needs to be good movement between the two of them up front. Both cannot play as the 2nd striker at all times. Somebody has got to make the runs that will break through the Chelsea defence. Better not wait until Saha comes on to make that happen.

indeed. i was listening to five live and they named the players who had been dropped from wed. i didnt know who was playing for them on wed and assumed, as he's been their best player this season, they would have had the sense to play SWP. happily, they havent so claude is playing instead. still, i got our line up right about 40 mins ago so that should compensate for my error.
Would have loved to see Saha start but I won't complain as long as we play with 2 strikers and don't use Rooney in some awkward position like the wing.
Also a big plus to see Ben Haim for Chelsea - looking forward to seeing Ben Sahar next season (Granted the coach lasts that long)

What was your prediction?
I'd expect Rooney and Tevez to swap between leading the line and the number 10 position quite a lot. If Chelsea have a lot of possession in central midfield, expect them both to drop off and really harry Makalele. Tevez still needs to learn how to play of the shoulder of the last defender for this sort of interchanging frontline to work well, but they've got to start somewhere.
i think giggs needs to get his season started, he has so much influence on the rest of the team, this has been highlighted by our slower start to the season..
Would have thought that Saha would get the nod over Tevez. In any case, strong looking line-up. Hopefully Giggs and Carrick can find some form.

We should play well today, every player we have in attack is technically awesome, and Carrick and Scholes in a 4-4-2 always is a nice sight aslong as Michael improves on his performance from Wednesday...
