VS

2-0

Rio from a corner in the first 5-10 mins.

Scholes to pop up and bag one in the second half.

A day of welcome surprises and success!

Though it'll be bite the nails off all your fingers tense too. :( ;)

Pride, hope.

I wish to see a really aggressive performance, lets give Chelski a really good hiding, I don't want them to ever forget this game, please just kick them like there's no tomorrow.

I dont care if we lose as long as we put up a fight and play with the passion our club deserves

Oh fook it just boot the shit out of em make em "ave it!"

The gay porn thing needs out of here pronto.

That is fecking disgusting.

It is merely a picture suggesting that Jose Mourinho is a screaming dinner masher.

At least it's not animated.

I wouldn't mind a replay of the Arsenal match at OT last season...

Let's - if nothing else - kick them to hell and back.
I actually have a good feeling about this one, allthough it won't mean anything re. the league title. We won't win it by outplaying them though...

I hope Ruud get's a bag full of goals. Some fecker on Chelsea TV just said he's the most overrated centre-forward in the premiership

I'm really against this 'let's just kick them' approach, always have been. The day i see a multi-million ound assembled team come out with a game plan of just kicking their opponents, it shows they have lost all faith in their footballing abilities. If the likes of Rooney, Ruud, Rio etc have any professional pride, tey should go out and try to prove that they are better than Drogba, Gudjohnsen and Terry. Kicking tactics show fear.

In the past when we have turned over arsenal etc against the odds - we have had some battle in MF - this game would be made for fortune. I know a lot of people dont rate him but as a stopper he's as good as most. Him and smudger together may have made life awkward for them - or painful at least.

we will win 1-0

for probably the first time in a long while, i'm expecting us to lose. i just hope not by too big a margin.

look at it this way.

Smith --- Essien

Scholes --- Lampard

Fletcher --- Makelele

O'Shea --- Duff/Wright-Phillips/Robben

Rio --- Drogba. (but if Wes carries on playing like he did against Lille, i expect him to be able to take care of Drogba - easily :) )

am i the only one seeing this as boys vs men?

Me personally...

VDS,
Brown, Rio, Silvestre, O'Shea
Smith,Fletcher, Scholes,
Rooney, Ronaldo
Ruud

I'd prefer (unbelievably) Man Yoo to win because it might chip away at Chelsea's self belief.

Do I think they will? Not a chance.

Most likely result? Chelsea stuff Man Yoo.

Outside possibility? A draw....which I would settle for.But then I believe in Father Christmas too.

-------------VDS-------------
The Bard---Rio--Wes---Mickey
Park--Smith--Scholes--Ronaldo
-------Rooney--Ruud---------

Subs: Howard, Rossi, Richardson, O'Shea, Fletcher

There's no way of patching up the midfield really....Smith to hold, Scholes to roam a bit, Park and Ronaldo to switch wings on occasion, Rooney to come deep as he does. Trying to get the crosses into Ruud is a problem...Richardson on the bench might be an option....other than that, Rossi should be introduced earlier than he has previously.

Watch for Lampard trying to ghost by Smith all day. Smith's awareness is lacking and I think we may nick a goal out of it.

Draw suits me, to be honest. If we play Carvalho, you will score at least one.

Good line-up, but not sure if Smith and Scholes in central midfield are enough for Chelsea's midfield. So Fergie will play a 4-3-3 i'm afraid!

They are going to piss all over us..

Rooney and ruud will have to work very hard to get any sort of chance

If Rio, Silvestre and VDS bring their A-game we might snatch a draw..

i'll like to see the lads prove themselves after the being fried by KEANO  ... Both Everton and Charlton have already proven recently that the renties can be vunerable at times... mistakes by Carlvalho, Cech.. even Terry seems unsure at times defending the high balls...

Really hope to see them put up a good fight... league table doesn't imply everything..

Smith can't play in a 4-4-2, he proved that against Boro and we had to switch back to 3 in the centre. He looked totally lost with more space around him.

Unfortunately I can see Drogba knocking Rio and Silvestre all over the show and giving them a real hard time :(

Anyone in the Tollgate before the game?

Hey! Looking on the bright side, at least we know we will see a few goals tomorrow. ;)
