Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace

Lads, this season watch out for a guy called Wayne Rooney. I've been hyping him up to anyone who will listen for about 3 weeks now.

Nah cause I go down and watch him train you see. Unknown prospect and all that. I'm a talent spotter.

:lol::lol: They've been hyped (probably beyond their ability) for the past 2 years!

I know, I mean hyping them to people that probably wouldn't have heard of Pogba until he debuted against Leeds.

And let me have this one, guys. My last spot was Graham Dorrans :(

Well he's playing him and that's the fecking end of it Sean.

I've spent the last few months hyping up Pogba and Morrison to anyone that'll listen (and a few people that wouldn't). They're playing for something much more important than a league cup semi-final place tonight. They're playing for my reputation as a spotter of talent.

 what a wolly.

I'd like to see:

Lindegaard - Rafael, Smalling, Evans, Fabio - Valencia, Fletcher, Morrison, Park - Berbatov, Macheda.

SUBS: Amos, Jones, Fryers, Gibson, Pogba, Chicharito, Diouf.

I think there may have been a slight misunderstanding here. All I meant was that when I'm talking to people that may not neccessarily pay attention to reserve or youth football, I've brought up Morrison and Pogba as players to watch out for.

Wasn't trying to make it sound like I'm some sort of master talent scout. :nervous:

Hmm.... :nono:

Minkaro, that is not good news. I spotted him too and I am a rubbish talent spotter.

Well that's some reputation they are playing for. I expect Fergie will have your quotes printed on their lockers for a bit of extra motivation.

There's probably actually a small statue of me striking a heroic pose somewhere in Old Trafford.

Last time I looked, it was being used as a doorstop. I've been demoted :(

Actually on topic: any Crystal Palace players to watch out for? The names Sean Scannel and Wilfreid Zaha seem familiar, but I'm not quite sure why. Oh, then there's Nathaniel Clyne.

A lot of people are going to throw hissy fits if atleast one of Morrison or Pogba doesn't get a start. C'mon SAF, throw us a bone.

Why?! We cant take the piss and must win the match. I'd much rather send out a team that I know will do the job (and ensure my fringe squad players get decent playing time than experiment.

If my young players are not yet ready. And SAF knows better than all (prob in line with Wenger) when a young player is ready!

If they play, they play .... its upto them to demonstrate in training that they are ready.

Because they are squad players who need playing time!

Gibson I can agree with given our injuries, but in what scenario will we ever need Diouf? Meteor hit at Carrington on a day that he isn't in?

Something I think people forget in these games, especially those with the "throw the young reserve players out there and let them show us what they can do" attitude, is that we already know how well these players play together. Better opposition might show us a little more about them, but playing in amongst first team players and seeing how they grab the game will show a little more.

Who's captain ... Berbatov, Park, Evans???

Park's the only one who's captained the side before taking the armband off Giggs when he came on.

Hope thats true.
Looking forward to seeing Gibbo and Kiko :D
and rafael too

Agreed. But a carling cup game - at home - vs Crystal Palace - before the December fixtures come rushing in - sounds as good a time as any to give the youngsters a chance. I'm not saying that he should throw out an entire reserve team but I'd like to see atleast one of our most exciting prospects get a start.
