Manchester United vs Everton

Carrick is the daddy, once again! All over the park defending, intercepting, covering defenders. In attack he's been greasing the wheels, contributing to the attack and then there was the superb volley that would surely have been a top 5 candidate for goal of the season had it been inches to the right!

Decent half, nothing spectacular but then again Everton know how to defend.

Carrick's been fantastic, good stuff from Ronaldo and Tevez as well.
O'Shea's playing well (even getting forward quite a bit), Neville needs to get his act together...

HT. 1-0. Scored at the right time. We were letting them get a bit too much of the possession at times. Now that we are in front we really need to go for the kill. Stop being so slow and predictable in our attacking play so we can open them up. Everton are chasing the game and will be vulnerable to our counter attacks. Good work so far though.

He's been superb first half.

Creating chances with some great passing, good defensive work, and a lot more of 'getting forward' play.

That's what we all wanted him to be doing, and he is doing it superbly.

Viva Michael Carrick

Well now United have DOUBLE the amount of penalties at home compared to Chelsea and Liverpool. No denying that FACT!

Everton are working incredibly hard to break us down, and they are doing it well - penalty aside. Not sure what Arteta was thinking, but for me it was a correct decision.
We played some good football and should have scored earlier (how the heck did Tevez miss from about four yards out?!), my only worries are Neville and Park who got embarrassed more than once by Pienaar and Baines :wenger:
Good defending otherwise, Everton only had one shot throughout the first half.

Tevez and Carrick the stand out two.

Fletcher, Rio, O'Shea ,VDS and Vidic have done ok.

Neville and Park have been awful together at the back.

Berbatov has been anonymous, barring a few passes with the outside of his boot across the park!

I actually think Carrick has been a tiny bit sloppy with his passing by his standards (but then his standard is 93% pass success if his last two games are anything to go by). He's been getting forward very well, though.

Tevez has been good so far, one of his best games in United's shirt that I've seen.

does any one else want to punch Hibbert, the guy is so irritating, ugly and talentless all he does is try to injure quality players. I wish Rooney was fit to smash him into the top of the north stand.

He's trying to play more 50-50 passes IMO. Everton has defended well though.

Good first half.

Carrick has been excellent, Tevez very good.

Ronaldo is getting some of his shooting back.

More of the same in the second.

Id like to see fabio in for neville, who looks injured, and put oshea at right back, at least he wont be cutting inside the whole time.

Bit lethargic, but we've done enough to deserve the lead

Carrick's easily been our best player. Ronaldo's getting in behind them pretty well.

Neville and Park need to stop being a pair of fecking idiots.

Same old from Tevez this season. Good movement and workrate, and he looks sharper than previously, but nearly always makes the wrong decision, and when he doesn't, takes too long to make the right one

He certainly seems to have gained a yard of pace. It's a form thing probably - sharpness more than actual speed...

I agree with sharpness, he seemed faster in pre-season and after several games on the bench seemed a bit slower. Similar to Rooney that.

brown .. why put fabio on against everton unless its needed .
the game isnt won yet

I hope Tevez gets atleast a goal today, his performance so far upfront deserves it.
