Manchester United Vs. Everton

Would like to see Obertan getting a start, this kid is pure class.

Any injuries from the internationals to report? I know Evans is injured but anyone else?

Team might be

VDS
Rafael
Brown
Evans?
Evra
Valencia
Fletcher
Scholes
Nani
Rooney
Berbatov

Nope. Berba is back to fitness, as best I know; so it looks like we've got a full squad to pick from. Obertan looked great against Burnley and good against Chelsea, though I don't think he was as impressive in the Blackburn game. He's looked promising on the whole though, and I wouldn't be against him getting a start.

It'd be nice to see Welbeck make an appearance, IMO, as he's not really featured in any league games yet. Though I'd start Rooney/Berbatov or Rooney/Owen up front myself.

I'm predicting 2-0. How are Everton in terms of injuries btw? I know they were missing quite a few players in the Benfica (H) game, although they were disappointing even considering that.

I agree, I would like to see Obertan get a start. He has that exciting aura about him that makes you rise to your feet as soon as gets the ball.

van der Sar
Neville Brown Vidic Evra
Valencia Fletcher Anderson Giggs
Berbatov Rooney
--
Foster; Fábio, O'Shea; Scholes, Carrick, Obertan; Owen

Nani, Rafael, and Evans, if fit, are the only other players I can see making their way into the side for this game. Scholes could play as he'll be fresh, but I'm not sure if he has the legs to play against a team like Everton in a two-man midfield. I think Carrick had a knock, but could still make the bench, if not then Nani will.

Got to win.

Not gonna be an easy one this!

I'll look forward to giving Louis Haha a good applauding though!

wonder if he'd celebrate if he scored

I'm not sure if Obertan will really be given a start against a team like Everton.. Not with Valencia fit and Giggs fresh after the International break anyway.

Team (from): van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak, Neville, Evra, Brown, Vidic, Fabio, Rafael, O'Shea, Evans, Anderson, Giggs, Park, Carrick, Nani, Scholes, Fletcher, Valencia, Obertan, Owen, Berbatov, Rooney, Welbeck.

i'd like to see Anderson and Fletcher in the middle for this one, with Giggs on the left. Obertan must start, or at least get a whole second half.

This would please me...

-----------------VDS--------------------
Brown-------Evans-----Vidic----------Evra
Obertan----Anderson-----Fletcher----Giggs
----------Rooney-------Berbatov--------

Alternately, approaching the game with a 433 (less likely, but i'd really like to see this formation), this would be nice...

-----------------VDS--------------------
Brown-------Evans-----Vidic----------Evra
----Anderson-----Fletcher----Giggs-------
Obertan----------Rooney---------Berbatov

Whatever the line up, I can watch this game for free on ESPN, so I can't wait :)

3-1 United.

LOL, SAF is not suspended for the everton match. So what kind of punishment is this? Anyway, I like it.
I wonder what Vidic was talking about then in his interview for this match.
His suspended for the game against Pompey and a cup game against Spurs.

This is the team I'd choose if I were boss, and it'd lead us to a 5-0 win.

- Rafael - Brown - Vidic - Evra -

Nani ----- Berba ----- Obertan

---------- Rooney -----------

This isn't football manager on the PC Tibs. You can't just choose a team and hope it wins, there is far more to the game than that ;)

(Although your starting eleven and formation is top notch)

Feck! I'm in Many 2moro night for a 40th. Just found out it starts at 4:30 !!

Anyone know if any pubs, in or near the Printworks will have the game on ??
The Hog's Head just down Deansgate (maybe a 10 minute walk from the Printworks or so) almost always has the football on, don't see why they wouldn't show a big clash like United and Everton.

Oh, and Norwegian Blue got Sky Sports recently I believe, which is actually in the Printworks so could be even better. I know this game is on ESPN, but if they have Sky Sports they'll surely have ESPN as well. If you're off to the Printworks anyway it might be best to check in there first.

I'd have Owen start if Berbatov has been away on international duty. And hopefully Obertan starts.

I'd love that line up

Nani on the RIGHT, and Obertan on the left, could be great.

Nani must be played on the right from now on.

first, nani is a left winger and obertan right, so why swap them round

second point, nani's outburst at SAF will no doubt be the end of him

third, Valencia has been one of our best players this season

Are you being serious?

I'm hoping Fergie has seen something in him that he hasn't shown us yet, because so far he just looks too predictable.

yes i am, i see many good things from valencia, his pace and ability to beat a man are fantastic.

as for being predictable he is playing like any "old-fashioned" winger, since his style was around for more than 50 years and is still effective then that either your talking bullshit or it works

and if it ain't broke, don't fix it

Predictions:

van der Sar

Rafael • Brown • Vidic • Evra

Valencia • Carrick • Anderson • Nani

Berbatov • Rooney

Substitutes: Foster; Fabio; De Laet; Fletcher; Scholes; Obertan; Owen

2-0 United. Carrick and Rooney to score.

Valencia average eh ? I think we have been too spoilt with Ronaldo. Valencia is far from average, he is very good but not the best in the world. Valencia has gotten some crucial goals and apart from being average, he has been the most consistant player regarding wingers this current season.

Yeah, sure.
