Manchester United vs. Everton

Jones to Man Mark Fellaini, i guess. And when he goes deeper Vidic picks him up.

He has Carrick's number anyway, so makes sense to rest him.

OFFICIAL MUFC XI:

de Gea

Rafael
Evans
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Cleverley
Jones
Giggs

Rooney
van Persie

SUBS: Amos, Smalling, Anderson, Carrick, Nani, Welbeck, Hernandez.

Looks good, with clearly Jones needed as a physical answer.
Surprised with Valencia starting, would have thought he was a shoein to play in the Madrid game where we'll need to be extra strong down Ronaldo's side.

But forget that, let's get this done.

I think we'll see Rooney dropping deep quite often today otherwise we'll be quite week in midfield.

Yeah I think that too. He's in great form at the minute too, so he should be a great help when dropping deep.

Everton show that rotation is not always needed, they usually play their strongest side every game and still are strongest from january until the end of the season.

Fergie's gone alot stronger than I expected, to be honest.

Anderson's omission maybe gives a clue to Wednesday's selection.

They are not really in Europe tbh.

Glad Valencia plays. He's given Baines hell in the past.

More of this today, please.

I'm not a big fan of rotation but Everton usually don't play in CL that helps a lot when it comes to recovery time.

I don't get why people are worrying. This team is much much stronger than I anticipated. And Jones has been one of our best players in his last 4 starts.

Lou Macari just rubbishing Fergie's worry about the sunday kick off  does that man ever pay attention to anything? How does he get paid to be on Mutv?

I used to love Lou has a player and remember him coming on against Everton in a cup match and scoring the winner, but has a pundit he is dreadful and shouwld not be let anywhere near a TV studio.

Wonder if Hernandez will start against Madrid. Would be useful.

That would mean RVP out. Nah, not happening.

Think he would have started this one, but is out due to the late travel from Mexico.

Edit - Only way it is happening is with a diamond but then Welbeck will be preferred.

Looking forward to this one! If we can beat Everton today it is almost in the bag, and if not we are still in a great position.

I haven't seen a match on TV (or in HD) since the end of November.

Great to hear from the Treble strikers.

It also shows that they almost never make the top four.

This build up with the 99 strikers is getting me hard...just sayin

Why would that mean RVP out

RVP and Cheech together ? Have they started together any game so far ?

Only way i can see it happening is a diamond with Rooney at the tip, but Welbeck is preferred for that role.

I'm worried. Maybe Fergie plans to get ahead and then bring on Carrick to steady things. I supposed with Giggs drifting in and Rooney dropping deep we might not have too much of a problem.

Doubt Carrick will be involved in that case. He is being rested for Madrid by the looks of things, so will only get involved in this game if we are starting to look in trouble.

I think we will grand today. Everton can't go a whole game without conceding, and at OT I am confident we will get a couple.
