Defence is awful. Midfield is not much better but Fletcher is playing well. Rooney is doing well on his own. Fletcher & Rooney were our two best players.

Scholes, Park and O'Shea have all given the ball away a few times, but all have at least got themselves on the ball and have produced some good moments at other times.
Personally I think that SAF will give Carrick, Scholes and Park another 15-20 mins and then look to freshen things up. Giggs in centre midfield, and Tevez or even Macheda upfront?

Carrick and Scholes have been awful today. Fletcher again looks our best central midfielder and should be moved into the middle. And Park is offering almost nothing going forward.
Rather see us with Carrick-Fletcher in the centre, Ronaldo and and Park in wide areas and someone partering rooney upfront.

Yeah I agree. Porto have been very productive with their posession. Plenty of chances and shots. We should feel very lucky to be going into the dressing room at 1 - 1

porto are playing a high-energy style. attacking offense and swarming defense. they smother whoever gets the ball. they're winning balls and out hustling United. hopefully they'll tire some and we'll step it up some.
park isnt good enough offensively to play as a winger/forward for us. if he gets a corner and that is if he does, then were lucky. I have never seen him score, assist or cross a decent ball. Park is great but he could be better used down the field to help out scholes and fletch cause carrick and scholes are being overrun.

I dont know if it was the goal that knocked us down or if we have really run out of stream but that was just a awful first half! Our defence was really shakey with Oshea and Evra the cause for much of it, really gutted they got a goal which means unless we score 2 without reply in the second half things could get really messy in the away leg.
But i knew this would happen as soon as we got Porto and the winner of Asnl or Villireal
