How's that bazinga? If DDG let in as many goals as Giggs gives away passes but then made two or three astronomical saves, you'd be demanding he was dropped. Hell if Carrick gave away as many passes as Giggs but put in two or three good ones, you'd be demanding he were dropped. It's only sentimental value that keeps us from saying what I'm sure a lot of us really think. In my opinion, if we want to control the midfield, Giggs should not be played in a deep central role.
