Manchester United vs Internazionale Milano

good PRE season match for us, the lads finally had to work in a fecking game.

Thought we played well, bar the odd defensive mistake.

Couple of thoughts:
* Carrick growing in confidence
* Evra still makes the odd mistake in defense
* Rooney looking very much up for it
* Eagles pretty far from a finished article
* Get well soon Scholesy
* Giggs is still fantastic

While we've been in the Far East playing Chinese 2nd division teams, Inter have been over here playing Arsenal & Valencia. Don't like losing any games, but it was always on the cards:rolleyes:

People should be banned for 2 weeks for posting fake scores, seriously.

its what happens pre season get over it for fecks sake

some of you lot i despair at

great innit?

Cracking second half I thought. Much more like it in terms of sharpness and pace from United. We'll hammer a lot of teams at home this season if we play like that.

I have a ticket for the reading game... get the feck in there!!

Wow, I never knew how negtive some fans can be before I join this forum ,its only pre season, the only thing that matters is we get off on right foot against Reading and maybe giving Chelsea a lesson:devil:, other then that I couldn't care about pre season results, its just practice at the end of the day.

Couple of my own thoughts

* Carrick - Good but not top quality
* Evra - Only a genius plays Evra and Ronaldo on the same flank
* Rooney - Needs a partner and it ain't Giggs
* Eagles - Will not make it at United unless Fergie does a Fletcher with him
* Scholesy - Get fit mate, soon
* Giggs - I hope the new signings make an immediate impact. He needs to play sparingly
* Saha - About time you got over your injuries, we need you
* The defence - A shambles, we need Red Nev back VERY VERY SOON
* O'Shea - Plays better on the bench
* Ronaldo - A showboat
* Inter - Thank you for bringing us back to reality. We will not be facing Shenzhen and co this season.
* The new signings - Hargo and Nani, get fit you bastards we already have one Saha we don't need new ones. Anderson - you better be better than what k14 says.

what a lot of feckin muppets posting above- it was a great workout, a grreat game and United played really well in the second half

This is my first time following a matchday thread from start to end, great stuff in here i must say :)

So this year will be even more stressing than last year? We were supposed to add depth to the squad and improve it. Decent posters like you Eto'odinho do not point at that...:nervous:

It's not like it's a first pre-season game, league is starting very soon ffs.
It's preseason
The main difference is that the players may not take it seriously
They would not commit 100%
Their main aim is to get their touch back and regain their stamina

That's the real reason why they don't celebrate their goals seriously

Those were personal views based on the game just ended. We still need numbers upfront. We simply cannot base our plans on this Tevez transfer. One we might not get him before the end of the transfer window. Two even if we get him, he might still need time to get himself conditioned for the new season and to understand his new teammates. Saha is excellent BUT unreliable (kinda like a blow up doll made in Korea). Rooney simply can't lead the line, we need some one like Anelka regardless of whether we get Tevez or not.

Didn't catch the game what was it like?

First half United looked a bit gormless at the back and conceded 3 goals after going 1-0 up.

Second half the lads upped it a lot and began to look something like the team we all know they can be and deserved a draw.

Much better work out for our players than the games in asia.

I am fecking glad I am not usually here on match days because i just can't bloody stand it..... oh and eagles is now going to be the new richardson which I am sure is a great relief to Fletch and O'shay

Eagles is now the new scapegoat for Richardson.

Does anybody know when Gary Neville is expected to start playing again?

I still think we need a proper right back to cover for Neville when he isn't playing.

you tell em mate.... a 2-3 loss in a pre-season friendly and its the end of the world...

this is exactly the type of match we need to indicate our strengths and weaknesses to SAF and Carlos...

how would we feel beating a bunch of Sunday league teams 20-0 and getting turned over by the likes of Reading cause we went into it overconfident.

agreed

I thought it was a good game. Good pre season match and we have 1½ week to get going. This will be nice.

I was suprised by our supporters. I thought it was absolutly amazing to see so many red shirts in the stand. First a thought it was chairs but no, it was red sea buildt by our supporters!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

We've played shite teams equvalent to 1st & 2nd division (or lower) so far, Inter played Arse and Valencia, we have Scholes, Nani, Anderson, Hargreaves, Neville, Evans, Saha, Ole and likely Tevez to come and you lot think we're doomed.

feckwitts.

why do some pick on eagles. carrick gave the ball away as much as him?

oh, im sorry i forgot carrick is a big name signing. cant possibly blame him.

i enjoyed it tonight. felt like i was i japan and mrs panlid said it was like being at a pantomine.
thought carrick looked crap, thought wazza looked well sharp, thought ronny worked hard and looked good, thought wes did well, thought rio did ok, thought eagles looked crap, thought evra looked crap at the back.

i could watch rooney all night.
best thing about the noght was getting home at a decent time, only seemed like a quater of the traffic. probably more people going in groups meaning less cars.

they did look tired so im glad we used no subs as it was a truly needed competative workout.
