Manchester United vs Liverpoo

We're playing sh*t in the league. Our away form is relegation standard. All our European Cup medal holding players are underperforming. Manyoo are flying high, scoring loads and conceding little. :(

This all points to one thing: We're going to OWN you on Sunday!!! :smirk: :D
how to you work that one out?

crap :(
I sense bad omen already.

Official squad:

Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Neville, Brown, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Heinze, Evra, Fletcher, Ronaldo, Solskjaer, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Richardson, Rooney, Saha, Smith.

Hopefully we will play 442. With carrick and scholes in the middle and ronaldo and giggs on the wings. It's our strongest team and formation

--------VDS---------

Gary--Rio---Vidic--Heinze

Fletch-Scholes-Carrick-Ronaldo

------Rooney-Saha----------

Our best defence, Gary and Heinze should be ready. I`m choosing Fletch instead of another winger in Giggs or Ole. With only Scholes and Carrick our midfield will be too thin against the scousers midfield. Flethcer won`t be playing in a typical wing role, more as a third midfielder.

Pred: 2-0 Rooney x2

Match Preview: United v Liverpool

Barclays Premiership | KO 13:00 | Sunday 22 October

Manchester United v Liverpool
Form: United DWWWW, Liverpool WWLDW

Team News: Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville and Gabriel Heinze are all expected to shake off injuries and illness in order to line up for the massive match at Old Trafford. Mikael Silvestre is back in training but will miss the game, leaving Ji-sung Park as the only confirmed absentee. Steven Gerrard missed Liverpool's trip to Bordeaux but should be fit for Sunday, while Daniel Agger, Dirk Kuyt and Momo Sissoko are also likely to feature despite carrying knocks.

Form: Since dropping points against Arsenal and Reading, United have swept to victory against Benfica, Newcastle, Wigan and FC Copenhagen, scoring nine goals and conceding just once. Liverpool recorded their first away win of the season against Bordeaux on Wednesday night, and come to Old Trafford in the knowledge that anything but a win will further damage title hopes already dented by three away defeats.

Big game this.

Can't decide on whom to pick to partner Scholsey in the middle. This is the kind of game where we need a hard tackling ball winner in the middle. Seeing as we don't really have one, I can't decide between Carrick and O'Shea... provided of course that JOS does not repeate his Arse performance.

Like the Arse game, the dippers are also pretty much fighting for their season, while we are sitting proudly at the top. So there is every possiblity that Fergie uses a five man midfield to play for a draw, and then its the Arse game all over again. I fecking hope not.

If Gabby is fit, I would pick him. Gerrard might play on their right and we need who is defensively strong.

--Ronaldo--Carrick/JOS---Scholes---Giggsy--

------Rooney-----------Saha---------------

2 - 0 to us hopefully.

I think we should play to our strengths and put four in the middle. Playing 5 in midfield sounds great in theory but it just doesn't work for us. So what's the point in using it??

----VDS----
-Gary--Rio--Vida--Heinze-
-Fletch--Carrick--Scholes--Ron-
---Rooney--Ole---

I'm hoping we will win this 2-1

Fletch to score the first goal for united

I fecking hate the games against the Vermin and being on a Sunday makes it worse cause I probably won´t be pissed. It´s always the same, a week before and onwards I have nightmares of us losing and during the game itself my heart beats like it wanna get out of me body. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE beat those fecking twats and I´ll be the happiest guy walking this Earth. COME ON

well, you are not alone with this

What gives me some lift is that Pool aren't playing well at the moment...this is a different criticism than the usuall "reap hate on Liverpool" this is a real one...no one at the club isn't playing well individually or as a team...in league play Bellamy has 1 goal, Crouch has 1, Gerrard and Pennant have 0...and they currently sit 11th in the league...however we do have a nasty habit of loosing games to clubs who are in the same position...for some reason under preforming clubs come together quite well when they play United...personally I dont expect to hammer Liverpool but I would wager a few quid on a 1-0 success...

My team: (4-3-2-1)

And one more thing. How can a few cnuts here omit Saha from starting line up is beyond me.

Because we need more midfielders to win the midfield vs Sissoko, Alonso and Gerrard.
The attacking will come in 2:nd half with Saha in and O'Shea out. I don't want another Arsenal game, outplayed the whole game.

Stupid reasoning, why wont they outplay our midfield once O'Shite is subbed in the second half?

442 from the start

No longer possible, there's a time limit on how long after you first launch a thread that you can edit the title you see in the forum. All a standard user can do is affect the tone visible in the OP, a mod would have to do it, assuming they're wish to.

As for the game, i predict 2-0.

Rooney to get the opener, then Sir Alex to run onto the pitch like that South American ball boy and slot one away in front of the Stretford End. :D

Hopefuly Saha shows up

I hope he does too, not just for us mind but for himself, and to send a message to his critics, one of whom being Micky Quinn which is convenient eh.

Will be leaving for the game in *checks clock* 27 hours or thereabouts.

UNITED!!!

I can see him having the same chances and us being up 2-0 via Saha within 15 minutes if our luck is right.

In England he's bad but he don't get support. in United, did you see when he played lone striker 2 years ago? Don't think so, he was excellent vs Arsenal and other teams when Ruud was injured.
Giggs and Ronaldo will support him.
