Manchester United vs. Liverpool

I read the squad backwards, saq Hernandez, Kagawa, Nani, and was like "feck yes".

Then I continued to look, and eventually realized it's Giggs and Jones in midfield.

Mother of fecking god.

Giggs and Jones in CM is mind boggling, good to see Nani and Kagawa starting though. I thought we'd loaned Buttner out.

It's just the reality that Liverpool can play their best team here whereas United have European games to consider and have never taken the early rounds of this seriously. It's feck all of an excuse if we lose though. It's not an inspiring lineup.

Nani to score a screamer tonight.

'Play Nani, Kagawa and Hernandez!' Moyes fields all of them, then 'feck me! Jones?! Giggs!?'
Pathetic.
Let's go lads, beat the feck out of them.

Liverpools cm is nothing to write home about lads. Lucas,Henderson and an ageing Gerrad aint that special.

Said it before but it's sad that it's gotten to this stage with him. Take a tip from Neville, Giggs.

But that's not the problem at all, Giggs still has plenty to offer the squad but it's his use and what's being asked of him in recent years that's not seemed to tally with what he's actually good at now. It makes him look like his level has dropped more than it actually has which is sad really.

♫Walk on, walk on,
With a hole in your arm♫

Again, a CM pairing of Jones and Giggs. I don't understand how anyone could expect us not to at least have a laugh about this. Of course everyone's hoping for the best, this is just pre-match fun.

It's the same every time Giggs is picked in centre mid, and 90% of the time we end up at the end of the game right to be hugely concerned.

We have three central midfielders in the squad and yet we play two players who are not central midfielders. At least play Anderson instead of Giggs. Giving him some playing time.

It seems so simple doesn't it, but time and time and time again, we just ignore the obvious.

Anderson's days as a Manchester United player are clearly numbered and righly so.

Well you certainly weren't watching his performance in the Bernebeu.

He was given a very specific task: man-marking the opposition's dangerman. He had an actual defensive midfielder doing the duty of a defensive midfielder beside him.

feck this forum.

No one is doubting his legendary status and 99,9% of our fanbase will always love Giggsy, but it's gotten to a point where he is not helping us anymore on the pitch and is delaying the emergence of younger players. It's not his fault obviously, because SAF and Moyes are picking him, but Neville knew when the point of no return had come. Giggsy should do the same and I don't see how this is in any way disrespectful. It fecking hurts to see the hero of my childhood playing like this and having a good game ratio of 1/10.
I fecking hope he is up for it today, because the last time we played him against Liverpool was a fecking disaster.

None of us are a fan of Jones and Giggs as a central midfield partnership but they won't (shouldn't) look as bad with Nani, Rooney and Kagawa infront - all 3 are players who will drop to offer themselves and help link up play.

Well, the central midfield isn't what I was expecting. I'd prefer Cleverley and Anderson there instead.

But there are some very good attacking selections he's made. Players we've been desperate to see given a chance. As long as we try and keep possession and keep feeding the ball to our flair players we have a good chance. We can't let Liverpool win the midfield battle otherwise I see a very tough night for us. We don't like being swarmed.

That first line is almost to the letter my first thoughts
With maybe a "playing those 3 ought to shut a few twats up on the café"

A lot of big clubs were after Suarez, according to some Scouser on Sky. My mind must be going. To me it seemed like his only option was Arsenal.

Also, Giggsy has a tendency to turn up when people are really getting fed up of his inclusion.. It's like he waits until he is almost out the team forever, then pulls out a big performance in a big game to guarantee himself one more year.

Oh shit, I didn't even notice Rafa was back! I was riding the emotions with seeing our attacking combo Nani/Kagawa/Rooney Henrandez then seeing Giggs and JOnes. So good to see. Hope Lindegaard wont be too rusty either

Liverpool's team is stronger than the one we faced at Anfield.

Meh, feck it, I still think we'll win, despite our midfield.

Moyes: Everybody tells me how good he is

Surely he can see himself

Kagawa will run the show.

Just turned on the TV to be treated to some world class punditry over here. On Carrick -

"People keep telling me how good he is, but I don't see what he does in a football match."
