Manchester United vs Manchester City

Did Nani play the full 90 Mins.

Is Rio injured i thought he was just rested.

Hopefully Rio will be back for this!

I'd go with:
Foster, O'Shea, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Fletcher, Giggs, Rooney, Berbatov.

Tempted to play Park for his energy but he's not played much recently and I think Nani deserves his place.

Fletcher and Giggs are deffo starting as both were rested against Besiktas. As is Berba. I reckon he'll go Park and Valencia out wide.

Nervous already for this one!

--------------Foster----------------

Brown----Rio--------Vida--------Evra

-----Fletcher---Carrick---Anderson----
----------------Giggs-----------------

-------------Berba-----Rooney--------

tempted to fit Valencia in there somewhere but at the moment he is playing better away from O/T. Fletcher, carrick and Anderson to break down their midfield, Nani could be introduced to inject some pace.

Valencia to run at Bridge all game, should be fun. The Evra/Nani combo should show Richards up.

I hope.

Do you think they'll get any change out of the 'new Duncan Edwards' as that big-nosed twat Summerbee called him?:smirk:

I never saw Duncan Edwards play but Summerbee's remarks pissed off a lot old-timers that I know.

--Sheasy-----------Rio-----------Vidic---------Evra--

-----------------Fletcher------Anderson--------------

----------Park--------------------------Giggs--------

------------------------------Berbatov---------------

---------------------Rooney--------------------------

Subs: Kuzczak, Evans, Fabio, Nani, Valencia, Owen, Carrick
Prediction:2-1 win for us with goals from Rooney 2.
Formation: 4-4-2 (without traditional wingers: Park and Giggsy to tuck into centre so as to win midfield battle together with more defensive Fletcher and Anderson)

I think we can afford Nani in that lineup Longlivekeano. He's not shy of his defensive work and will track back. Plus he can provide a bit of magic.

Foster
O'Shea-Rio-Vidic-Evra
Valencia-Fletcher-Anderson-Giggs
-------------Rooney-------------------
-------------Berba---------------------

Anderson has been in good form and we can't keep dropping him and recalling him and then complaining about his form, he is young and appears to be in physically good shape, play him as he can be the future of our midfield.

Giggs can tuck in and rooney go onto the wing should we need to exercise more control over the CM.

score 3-0 rooney(2) Berba, with an excellent game due from vidic and customary great save from foster.

Good team on paper, but I can see us lacking of width with that team. At least one of Nani or Valencia should play in my opinion, as they are our only natural wingers.

This is how I think will be the formation, not necessarily my favourite starting 11...

Good line-up. With Scholesy out, the only question is whether Rio recovers in time.

Very confident for this one, our lads will be well fired up for this, and when they are, we are pretty much unbeatable at O.T.

Come on you Reds!

It looks as though City have problems up front. Adebayor suspended, Robinho and Santa Cruz out injured and Tevez very doubtful. Richards may be out through illness.

The only striker they've got 100% fit is Bellamy

All that money, and they play Bellamy :D

I'm fed up with the defensive formations including Park on the wing or 5 midfielders. I'm praying for a real 4-4-2 with two wingers and two forwards.

Let's trash them the United way :

Whilst it's nice to see some of their top names like Tevez and Adebayor out of action, Bellamy was superb at the weekend against Arsenal, and the fact they're missing a few top players shouldn't mean that we underestimate what's been a pretty solid City side so far this season; and Bellamy is one of the Prem's trickier strikers to play against; pacy and a good finisher.

Still, it's always a boost to see the opposition missing a few big name players, especially in a game this important. :)

33 years...

I can see Tevez playing now

He might; clubs quite often don't give full information on injuries, and then play the player on matchday, presumably to ruffle the opposition's tactics a bit. They'll have less options up front, but they've got a wealth of strikers, and even with missing Santa Cruz etc., City are likely to cause us problems in attack. Benjani scored in the derby at OT about 18 months back, and now he's their weakest striker, so to write off their attack would be silly (not saying you are, oleole :)).

Can't wait for this one anyway. My citeh supporting mates have been getting far too smug the last few weeks. I'm predicting Rooney to have an absolute stormer, and for Owen to come on and grab one.

2-1 to us, I'm predicting.
