Yes. Jones's first touch and passing is what we need in midfield...
Didn't do much wrong so far. We dominated most of the first half against our biggest rivals for the title. Having said that, our lack of class in CM midfield which was not detrimental last season is going to tell as City have raised the bar.
This first half has been a virtual carbon copy of the first half of the community shield. We've had loads of the ball but have done virtually nothing useful with it in the final third. Our forwards seem to have developed an allergy to shooting. Welbeck and Nani particularly always seem to be looking for that extra pass when they should just have a go. The run up to that pileup in the penalty area where both Rooney and Nani went to ground was typical of the way we've played: None of that should've happened cos Welbs should've cracked it when he was free in the D. I don't think we're playing very badly but in and around the box we're just making all the wrong choices and we have nothing in behind City at the moment.

That's what I get for tuning in as the game kicks off. In that case I'd seriously bring Jones on. I'd rather go down giving our youth a chance and experience of an occasion like this than persist with Fletcher who has been there and do it but is in horrible form.
