Manchester United vs. Manchester City

Think Fergie has been hampered with injuries. I think if even one of Smalling, Evans and Vida would've been fit, Jones would've started in midfield. Every winger of ours has been shocking this season so not sure either of Tony/Nani would've been improvement over Young.

Giggs and Cleverley is the only debatable position.

Giggs would have been wonderful on the wing but the thought of him vs Toure really does worry me. I'll gladly take a draw after seeing the lineups.

Giggs in a midfield two...:annoyed:
Liked the first lineup much more. Rio and Jones in center back together as well :nervous:

Not confident at all anymore. Rio and Jones haven't ever done well together at the back. Last time they played was away to Newcastle where we lost 3-0.

Shreaves: Your last visit here was successful wasn't it?

Mancini: Yes, yes. No.

Shreaves really does ask stupid questions/asking for a punch in the face

Exactly. People are looking into this way too much. He's making do with what he can.

Just stop talking steaming piles of shit mate. You're saying Nani wants to fecking leave because we're not playing him in this game, it's a pathetic comment. Nani has been no different all season, the same old inconsistent Nani. One minute brilliant, the next absolute dire. Of course when he's on form he can be class, I like the guy, but your statement was embarassing and for the record, Young did more in ten minutes in the last game we played than Nani/Valencia put together for their entire duration on the pitch. Young will also work his ass off today defensively.

fecking hell, some people on here are so defensive  Everything is taken literally. Jesus. Clearly my comment was in jest. This place is becoming such a chore thesedays.

I'm out, enjoy the match.

Shreeves: 'your last visit here was successful'
Mancini: 'yeah, yeah, ye- but no.'

Shreeves : "The last time you were at Old Trafford, you were successful"

Mancini: "Yeah yeah yeah yeah......no".

No reason to risk Vidic or Evans in this one. At worst we are 12 points ahead before this weekend, and they will probably be back as it was 50-50 for both of them I think before this game.

I really wish we could just get Vidic to play against City for a change. He's missed 4 of these Derby games in a row now.

Jones and RIo at CB? :wenger:

Looking at the team it's like a perfect flashback to last season's ridiculous injuries...

Aye I must admit I was confident as fook before the game, now iv seen our line up I feel really underwhelmed. Draw would do for me.

Shit, I have a concern that Niall Quinn might be commentating.

Please, no...

I'm way more worried with Giggs in CM, than Young. He does fine. Giggs is very hit and miss.

Young was great in the reverse fixture and was probably our most creative player when he played 20 minutes against Chelsea. He deserves it IMO.

Code:
[CENTER]DdG

Rafael - Rio - Jones - Evra

Young - Carrick - Rooney - Giggs

Welbeck - RvP [/CENTER]

Anyone?

#MCFC starting XI v #MUFC: Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy; Barry, Yaya Toure; Milner, Silva, Nasri; Tevez

Young will help out defensively so not all that worried about him starting. It's the midfield and central defense that's a bit worrying.

It might be because they are forwards.

Silva and Milner aren't then?

Rooney and Welbeck will provide more support to their midfield then Silva and Milner. It's obvious to anyone who has watched them play. As I said pessimism before logic.

Nani has hardly been any better. Certainly not good enough to warrant a start ahead of Young (As much as I don't rate Young)

Shinji has hardly shone in the big games this season either.

Excusecini's only picked Nasri because he thinks it'll annoy us.
