With Vidic in the team its easy to forget that an opponent can score too. I want to say it this way to stress that we were not shit defensively but quite average and Marseille not too bad. Without Vidic i cant see us winning the CL though. You always need one special player normally and i think Vidic could be ours this year. We are a power with him defensively and with Roocharito in form and Valencia showing why we missed him so much i am quite positive.
As long as Martin Atkinson is nowhere near the match.
Damn that was nervy but that is why football is so exciting. Rooney and Hernandez were brilliant up front and I think Valencia really added a lot when he came on.
Real shame about the injuries given that we looked shaky back there tonight and the pool to choose from just got smaller for the Bolton game, but I'll worry about that later.

The Marseille fans are dirty bastards. There was loads of shouting and attempted chants during the minutes silence and then they were throwing bottles and spitting for each of the goals and at FT. Everyone had hoods up because of it.
Just got back from Manchester, was a really tense game. Chicho is amazing. Rooney worked his socks off today but we were quite defensive today and players found themselves holding onto the ball with not many options ahead. Everyone was in good spirit including the Marseille fans who sang the whole way. Stretty was top and can't wait to go back on Saturday for Bolton.
