To be fair I think I understand what he was 'trying' to say.
For me (and him I think?) Park's and Fletcher's strengths aren't in breaking teams down which is what most of our games are about at home. Their strengths are invaluable in certain games but for me I don't think this one is a game for them. Nani and Anderson are much more likely to create something in my opinion.

No thats what i meant, i see carrick and fletcher as def mids and park as more of a player for tough away fixtures cus of his work rate. we need goals though and a more attacking team would help in this naturally.

I don't think the fluidity we need to break down Boro will come from Ando and Fletch.

Yeh, I'd agree with that. Which is why I want to see both Carrick and Scholes start.
Carrick should start but I doubt Scholes will, he featured heavily in Japan and played practically the whole game against Stoke bar 2 minutes. He needs a rest.
Carick and Ando is the best midfield combination for such matches IMHO. Carick to deliver the accurate passes and Ando to retrieve the ball when we lose possession. I would start Rooney-Tevez up front - Tevez needs to booost his confidence further as he could be crucial in the coming months!
