Manchester United vs Newcastle United

I'd go with the same defence as Plan M.

Would be better to start Smalling on the bench as he's been out for a month now and better give him more training before starting. Palace on wednesday is a good chance to give him 90 mins.
Jones has played a lot of football recently, but he will get a weeks rest from matches after tomorrow.

Anyway, difficult choices in defende now with Rafael back as well, which is great to have that kind of competition for places.

Fair enough comment...

can't wait for this one! I'll actually be off tomorrow and able to watch. Doesn't happen often anymore. How's our midfield doing lately? Are we going to play 4-4-2 or some other formation?...now that Rooney is doubtful

midfield is shite like usual

yes of course

he'll play i bet

The muppet in me wants to see Berba in the midfield.

Ugh, no Berbatov in midfield, please.

We go with the best/in-form player we have available in each position.

De Gea

Smalling
Vidic
Rio
Evra

Nani
Fletcher
Carrick
Young

Rooney
Berbatov

Fletcher over Giggs simply because their midfield is quite strong.

Giggs
Young

Hernandez
Berbatov

2-1 United

Hope Carrick can keep up his level. It's time he hit some proper consistency given his age.

Time to study for 3 hours before this starts.

Don't think both Nani and Young will start. The way Fergie's been rotating will mean one of Park or Valencia should come in.

Park deserves to start ahead of both Young and Valencia based on form, they can play against Palace.

Agreed I think Young, Valencia, Gibson and Pogba for Palace with maybe a senior player at the back alongside the da Silvas and Evans.

Ha ha, he's played in enough positions this year and we seem to love a square peg and all that!

But seriously.... no!

Carrick and Giggs or Carrick and Park for me.

Will be Carrick/Fletcher though.

Come again...

It means that the only exception to the best/ in form player rule was Fletcher over Giggs and simply because we'll need a bit more bite in the midfield. If I thought Fletcher was a better player, I wouldn't have added an explanation down there, would I?

Krul, Simpson, S Taylor, Coloccini, R Taylor, Obertan, Cabaye, Guthrie, Jonas, Ben Arfa, Ba.

Just fecking watch Obertan rip us a new one.

Is that cofirmed by the way Maciek?

good team. I predict a really good performance today and all will be well with the world

If Obertan is anything other than atrocious in this match I'm going to have to punch something at some point.
