Manchester United vs. Queens Park Rangers

Fletcher has shown the worst performance for a midfielder in a half that I've seen this season. Seriously poor passing, not doing his job defensively, holding up play too much.

I take it that technical issues preventing me from watching a stream of this extravaganza are a blessing in disguise?

It's not been one though, has it? It's been one caught daudling in possession (which has happened a few times this season),but several misplaced passes and aimless long balls. Not to mention just being slow and overly casual.

What have either of them done in this game that's been good? It's all very well and good saying "QPR are parking the bus" but a) they aren't, they're attacking quite a bit, and b) a lot of teams flood the defence against the big teams, but only we seem implausibly incapable of breaking them down, and insist on continually playing this 4-4-2 nonsense with slow, undynamic players.

I'm seriously baffled as to what Ferguson thinks is going wrong here. He must see something is, and he just refuses to admit it can possibly be the team selection or formation.

But obviously yeah, we're just moaning cos it's in fashion. We love this kind of stuff really. We want them to fail.
I think Fletcher has been pretty bad, but other than the one time badly caught in possession, I haven't seen much wrong from Scholes.

Fletch and Scholes having a nightmare so far

They've lost possession once, and I can't see how they're meant to be inventive when no one in the team is moving

Where do you think slick first time passes and fast play come from???

The central midfield is why we are playing like a team of Zombies with the slow, predictive and generally awful football. Put Cleverley and Anderson in there and within 5 mins we would look like a different team.

RVP has been the only good thing about us. And that too has been the rare times when he's actually got the ball.

I think this may be the first time we hear boos ringing out at Old Trafford. The crowd is seriously displeased.

They can't even make a simple pass or run with the ball those qpr guys and we are incapable of scoring against this lot

 I'm sorry but I'm not sure how Fletcher is good enough to start.

You know what's so annoying...?

That clev and Anderson always get benched regardless of how utterly shit Carrick Fletcher Scholes or giggs play

No, it's because some of the comments here are bordering on retardation.

We're dominating possession against a midfield three, struggling to find space up front but still making inroads. Is it impossible for people to be patient? We'll win this game easily.

My favourite type of comment is the one about a "static" centre midfield. That's despite the fact we're playing a very fluid front four of RVP, Rooney, Welbeck and Young. Do people just want everyone running around like fecking mentalists altogether? Even so, in this "static" central midfield, Scholes has broken into their box repeatedly so far.

Expectations of some people just mark them out as knowing feck all about anything, basically.

Our tempo is dire! QPR aren't even defending that well. They've left gaps in midfield but once again, we're just way too slow to exploit them. By the time we do, QPR have reorganised themselves and the chance is gone.

It says a lot when QPR look more threatening. Abysmal

We try and play these flicks, but not one player is taking on their man. Go back to basics and stop trying to make us into Arsenal; when its obvious our players aren't upto it. The movement has been dire.

A couple of good moments but overall a very poor half. Typical of our season really: no movement, no energy, no urgency, nothing exciting.

Despite the couple of chances we've created, QPR have been fairly comfortable.

Bring on Hernandez & Ando/Clev please, we need more energy and urgency in our play.

Is it any wonder Pogba left ?
Sure he'll be rolling around laughing in Turin watching this.

Not as terrible as the thread would suggest... but not good enough.
Need to step it up.

Rooney needs to do more..

Are you seriously saying your pleased with this? Creating one good chance in the whole half against qpr? You must have seriously low expectations, because I'm expecting a team that can win the league and compete in Europe. Not struggle against the worst team in the league, at home. The sad thing is how painfully obvious it is to see what the problems are, and the solutions are on the bench.

Of course it's not been good by any stretch of the imagination. But it's not been nearly as bad as the usual muppets on here are making out. People just go overboard on the moaning here.

We're faced with a poor team who are doing a decent job at parking the bus so far. That's all. Hardly a crisis. We'll still win the game.
