Manchester United vs. Reading FC - Sun 12/08/2007 (16:00 BST)

Erm, we're either gonna struggle to break them down, or utterly hammer them.

Thats my rather broad prediction.

mistic megs is shitting herself you'll be robbing her job with predictions like that.

i hope well score a nice early goal for some breathing space. were not comfortable in any game against them last year.

less than an hour now before kick-off, official line-up anyone?

New signings Carlos Tevez, Nani, Owen Hargreaves and Anderson are set to be on the bench as Manchester United begin their Premier League title defence.

According to BBC.

1 hour left..

great bench.

no more silvestre, o'shea or fletcher anymore.

Heh, they won't all get to play then :p

Nah, we'll be playing O'Shea and Evra in midfield. So we can push one of them back into defence if we need to ;)

Gah. If we need O'Shea in Midfield against Reading with the players we have, then we can forget about any trophies this season.

Is there only me who is worried that the curse of the South Americans will continue at United. Everyone is drooling and we haven't seen Tevez kick a ball for us yet. I still have nightmares about Veron. There's only Heinze who's broke the trend.

van der Sar
Brown
Vidic
Ferdinand
Silvestre
Ronaldo
Carrick
Scholes
Evra
Giggs
Rooney

Kuzcsak.....er I can't spell it, PIG, must be on the bench. So we have PIG, Nani, and 3 others...?

What's the point in buying players unless you at least put them on the bench in a game like todays? Perfect oppertunity to blood the likes of Hargreaves and Anderson in. Baffling.

Hargreaves is probably injured.

Good line up. Less than an hour left. Can't wait.

maybe because we have a mid-week game against Pompey in mind.

Realistic potential scorelines?
Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all only managed to win by one goal, even against easy opposition at home in the case of the latter two.

So I'm thinking either 2-1 or 3-2 like our title rivals.

How many South Americans have actually played for us?
